Berry Plastics
Originally established in 1967 as Imperial Plastics and located in Evansville, Indiana, Berry Plastics has grown into a leading manufacturer of injection-molded plastic packaging, thermoformed products, flexible films and tapes and coatings. The company's sales are focused in four divisions:
• Rigid Open Top
• Rigid Closed Top
• Flexible Films
• Tapes and Coatings
In 1983, Imperial Plastics became Berry Plastics when it was purchased by Jack Berry, Sr., a Florida-based citrus grower and real estate developer.
In 1987, Berry opened a second manufacturing facility in Henderson, Nevada.
In 1988 Berry acquired Gilbert Plastics of New Brunswick, New Jersey, a manufacturer of aerosol overcaps.
Through the 1990s and up to today, Berry has acquired the following companies:
