Can I mix different MP Soap Bases in the same loaf of soap?Answer:
As long as the melt and pour soap bases are from one manufacturer and are the same general base formula, you will have no problems mixing bases. We have seen issues with mixing bases when each has a different melt point. This can cause melted soap to clump, room temperature soap to be soft and finished soap to have a grainy feel when used. If you would still like to try mixing two bases together, make sure both are over 145ºF before blending. You will find that creating an accurate ingredient label will be challenging, but if the soap is for personal use it will be fine.
