RECIPE: Easter Carrot Bath Salts

Bunnies like to run and hide, now it’s your turn! Go and disappear in your bathroom, soak with these bath salts and enjoy. The Ginger-Orange smell will both relax and rejuvenate you.

Project Level: Easy
Estimated Time: 1 Hour
Yield: 12-6.5 oz. Cone Shaped Bags

  • 5 Pound(s) European Spa Salt - Medium Grain
  • 0.25 Ounce(s) Stained Glass Citrus Orange Powder Color
  • 12.5 ml(s) Ginger Orange* Fragrance Oil 461
  • 12 Piece(s) Premium Crystal Cello Bags (12" x 6" - Cone)

  •  Cookie Sheet
  •  Fork or Wire Whisk
  •  Large Glass Bowl
  •  Measuring Cup
  •  Measuring Spoons
  •  Waxed Paper

Recipe Directions

  1. NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron
  2. Empty 5# bag of European Salts into a large glass bowl.
  3. Add 12.5 ml. of Ginger Orange using a plastic dropper by drizzling the oil all around the top of the salt area. Use a fork or wire whisk to mix well.
  4. Add Stained Glass Citrus Orange Powder Dye, 1/4 teaspoon at a time, until desired shade is achieved. Salts will not be completely covered with powder, but will look somewhat variegated.
  5. On a large covered counter area or a cookie sheet covered with wax paper, spread salts out in a single layer to dry.
  6. After a few hours, salts are ready to package.
  7. Place approximately 3/4 cup of bath salts in each cone shaped cello bag. You will have about 1/2 cup of salts left over after filling. You may want to divide this up among the 12 bags.
  8. When bags have been filled, tie top with green ribbon. You can add a label or make a cute tag to hang on the bag with product information.

INCI Ingredient Label: Sea Salt, Orange 4, Fragrance
