RECIPE: Eucalyptus Spearmint Bubbly Foot Soak

You will feel like you are at a luxurious spa with this bubbly foot soak.  Sprinkle a little in a foot bath, sit back and relax!

Project Level: Easy
Estimated Time: 1/2 Hour
Yield: (6) 3.3 oz. Jars

Ingredients

  • 10 Ounce(s) Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
  • 10 Ounce(s) Citric Acid Powder
  • 1 Ounce(s) Lathanol LAL Powder - aka: SLSa
  • 1 Ounce(s) Coconut Milk Powder
  • 1 Ounce(s) Work Out Bath Tea Blend
  • 15 ml(s) Eucalyptus Spearmint - EO & FO Blend 608
  • 6 Piece(s) 4 oz Clear Heavy Wall Plastic Jar - 70/400
  • 6 Piece(s) 70/400 Silver Metal Basic Top Cap - Foam Liner
  • 6 Piece(s) Scoop - 1/2 ounce

Equipment

  •  Large Mixing Bowl
  •  Scale - Digital Display (Professional)
  •  Wire Whisk
  •  Sifter
  •  Large Spoon/Scoop

Recipe Directions

  1. NOTE:  If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask.  We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  2. To a large mixing bowl add 10 oz. of citric acid, 10 oz. of baking soda and 1 oz. of coconut milk powder.  Blend with a wire whisk.
  3. Add 1 oz. of Lathanol powder.  (We recommend using a mask when working with this product.  It is a very fine powder and becomes airborne very quickly.)
  4. Sprinkle 15 ml of fragrance oil around the powder mixture.  Do not add fragrance into just one spot.  Mix well with wire whisk until it is all blended in.
  5. If necessary, use a sifter to remove any clumping that may have occured.
  6. Lay powder mixture out onto a large cookie sheet for product to completely dry, preferably overnight.
  7. Once dry, weigh out the bath tea and add to powder mixture. Blend thoroughly.
  8. To fill jars:  place on a scale and tare to zero. Fill jars with foot soak mixture until the scale reads 3.3 oz.
  9. Repeat with remaining 5 jars.  Place a white scoop inside each jar and screw on silver metal cap.
  10. Label product accordingly.
