RECIPE: Layered Lavender Bath Salts

These lavender bath salts are visually fun with layers of white and purple. Your customers will love soaking with these relaxing and balancing salts.

  • 8  Cup(s) Salt Blend - European Sea (Pure Salt)
  • 8 Tablespoon(s) Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
  • 1 Ounce(s) Chamomile & Lavender - EO & FO Blend 584
  • 1/8 Teaspoon(s) Matte Purple Pigment Powder
  • 8 Piece(s) 8 oz Clear Basic Plastic Jar - 70/400
  • 8 Piece(s) 70/400 Black Straight Top Cap - F217 Liner

  •  1/4 Cup Measuring Cup

Recipe Directions

  1. NOTE:  If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend that you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
  2. Add salt, baking soda and fragrance to one mixing bowl and mix together with wire whisk. 
  3. Divide salt mixture evenly between two bowls.
  4. To one bowl of salt, add the Matte Purple Pigment Powder.
  5. Blend well with whisk to coat the entire salt mixture with powder color.
  6. Place an empty jar on the scale and hit tare.
  7. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop from each salt mixture into jars, layering colors as you go. You will need about 4 scoops total to equal 8 oz. of product.
  8. Place lids on jars when finished.
  9. Label product accordingly.
