RECIPE: Salt Scrub - Perfect Pumpkin

This scrub is made with pumpkin seed oil which contains high levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. Will leave your skin silky smooth.

Ingredients

  • 2 Pound(s) Foaming Bath Whip
  • 4  Cup(s) European Spa Salt - Fine Grain
  • 4 Ounce(s) Pumpkin Seed Oil
  • 8 Ounce(s) Castor Oil
  • 2 Ounce(s) Glycerin - Natural
  • 8 Tablespoon(s) Pumpkin Flakes
  • 4 Teaspoon(s) Phenonip
  • 2 Teaspoon(s) Perfect Pumpkin Fragrance Oil 452
  • 10 Piece(s) 4 oz Clear Heavy Wall Plastic Jar - 70/400
  • 10 Piece(s) 70/400 White Straight Top Cap - F217 Liner

Equipment

  •  Glass Bowl
  •  Hand Mixer or Kitchen Aid Mixer
  •  Measuring Cups and Spoons
  •  Spatula


Recipe Directions

  1. NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
  2. Weigh 16 oz. of Crafter's Choice Foaming Bath Whip and place in glass bowl. With hand mixer, blend on medium speed until fluffy.
  3. Add 2 cups European Spa Salts-Fine Grain, mixing after each cup.
  4. Add 4 Tablespoons Pumpkin Seed Oil, 8 Tablespoons Castor Oil and 2 Tablespoons Glycerin. Mix well.
  5. Add 4 Tablespoons Pumpkin Flakes
  6. Add 2 teaspoons Phenonip and 1 teaspoon Crafter's Choice Perfect Pumpkin Fragrance Oil. Mix ingredients well.
  7. Package in jars. Product will naturally turn a slight orange color after a few weeks. 
  8. Label product accordingly.
  9. Repeat to make remaining 32 oz. of product.
  10. NOTE: The 4 oz. jar holds approx. 6 oz. of product by weight.
