Recipe Directions

NOTE:  If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Empty contents of 2 oz. jar of Lip Balm Base for Sticks in a glass measuring cup with a pour spout.
  2. Place in microwave and heat until product has completely melted.
  3. To melted base, add 6 mL of Apple-Sweetened Flavor Oil and stir to blend.
  4. Stir in 1/8 tsp. of Bath Bomb Red Powder color and mix well.
  5. Immediately pour product into lip balm sticks. If product has started to harden, place the cup back into the microwave to get the product back into a liquid state.
  6. Once the sticks have been poured, let completely harden before placing the caps on the lip balm sticks.
  7. TIP: If the tops of the lip balm are not smooth or if there is a sink hole, use a heat gun to gently warm the tops until they are liquid. The base will reharden and give you a smooth finished look.
  8. Label product accordingly.
