Recipe Directions

  1. NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
  2. Empty contents of both 16 oz. bottles of shampoo into a large glass measuring cup. Be sure to empty bottles completely.
  3. Place cup in microwave and heat for 30-60 seconds until base has warmed and become thin.
  4. Add 0.50 oz. (1 Tbsp.) of Pearberry Fragrance Oil and stir.
  5. Add 2 oz. of Bubble Wash Thickener to shampoo. The fragrance oil will thin out the shampoo base after a few days so adding the thickener will help keep this product thicker.
  6. Add 2-3 drops of Sunflower Orange Liquid Color to the base and stir to completely incorporate.
  7. Pour shampoo into the 2 - 16 oz. bottles. Let completely cool before placing cap on bottles. This will help eliminate any condensation that may appear due to the warm product.
  8. Once product has completely cooled, place caps on bottles.
  9. Label product accordingly.
