The Shea Butter and Coconut Oil in this recipe will help to soothe dry skin patches on babies' skin. The addition of Aloe Vera Powder also adds moisturizing and soothing properties to the product.

Ingredients

  •  10 Ounce(s) Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
  •  8 Ounce(s) Shea Butter - Natural
  •  0.50 Ounce(s) Aloe Vera Powder - 100X
  •  0.40 Ounce(s) Vitamin E Natural T-50
  •  12 Piece(s) 2 oz Natural Malibu Tottle Bottle - 22/400 1.5"
  •  12 Piece(s) 22/400 White Flip Top Cap - 1.5 inch

Equipment

  •  Microwave-Safe Bowl (32 oz.)
  •  Microwave
  •  Scale - Digital Display (Professional)
  •  Hand Mixer
  •  Piping Bag
  •  Scissors
  •  Small Glass or Cup
  •  Spatula

INCI Ingredient Label: Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Powder, Vitamin E.

Recipe Directions

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
  1. Add Coconut Oil to a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave until completely melted. Add Shea Butter to melted oil. Stir until Shea Butter has melted.
  2. Blend with hand mixer. If product is very thin and warm, place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to thicken up.
  3. Add Aloe Vera Powder and Vitamin E and mix in with spatula.
  4. Blend with hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fill a piping bag with product. Cut small end off of bag.
  6. Fill each bottle to 1.40 oz. by weight and place caps on.
  7. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply to dry patches of skin and gently rub in. Use as needed.
