Wholesale Supplies Plus, Inc. certifies that this fragrance product is in compliance with the standards of the International Fragrance Association, provided the fragrance is used in the above application (s) at the noted maximum concentration level(s).
The "Maximum Use Level for Skin Exposure" is the amount of fragrance, flavor and essential oil that can come in contact with the skin. It does not mean that your base product can perform at these levels. You must test each oil in each application for evaluation of desired performance. Baby products have lower use levels than those listed above. If a desired application is not listed above, please call us at 1-800-359-0944 for maximum skin levels for skin exposure.
Scent is one of the most powerful of our five senses. Smelling a fragrance can trigger a treasured memory and provoke enjoyable thoughts. When designing products, consider how your customers will use your products. Will they be washed off? Will they be used to fragrance a home? Will they be used in conjunction with other products and how will those scents smell when combined? Consider complimenting your scent with coordinating colors.

Directions: To Determine The Amount of Fragrance Oil Used In A Product:
The amount of fragrance that should be used in a formulation depends on three factors:
1) The maximum amount of scent the product base will accept.
2) The maximum IFRA skin safe level.
3) The amount of fragrance that smells good in your product.
You will look at these three maximum guidelines and use the LOWEST percentage.
For example: Desired smell is 5%, making MP soap is 3%, and the IFRA max use is 10.5%. You should not use more than 3% in your product. This 3% is the lowest of all of those numbers.
Maximum Product Base Guidelines:
MP Soap: 3% CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6% Lotions and Scrubs: 1 – 2% Bath Salts, Fizzies & Tub Soaks: 5-10% Candle Wax: 6-12% (see specific wax for exact levels)
To Determine The IFRA Guidelines:
IFRA is a self-regulating trade organization that together with the industry's scientific center RIFM (the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials), establishes usage safety standards for materials that comprise fragrance and essential oils. Each year IFRA updates their standards based on sound science.
Wholesale Supplies Plus updates IFRA documents annually so that customers can stay up-to-date with the latest science. If you find IFRA levels have changed for your formula, it is standard to take 2 years to update products in the market. You can find Wholesale Supplies Plus IFRA documents on the “documents” tab of this product page.
Fragrance oils that contain vanilla or vanillin will change color. The color change can take days, weeks, or months and can vary from a light ivory to dark brown. Our Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Stabilizers and Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Neutralizer will prevent some products from changing color. Oils that are dark in color, contain floral notes or spices may in time naturally change color.
"Not my favorite scent but it smelled like it said"
COMMENTS: Not my favorite scent by any means but also in the fragrances defense it smelled like it sounds I just was not a big fan of the cardamom smell. However, if you are a fan of it you will like this scent.

"Not as good as I hoped "
COMMENTS: I don't like it! We used in bath bombs and while it doesn't smell terrible it's not one of my favorites. I'll order the Pistachio Macaroon fragrance oil next time.

I Recommend This Product!
COMMENTS: If you're a lover of sweet, foody scents but are tired of plain old buttercream and white cake, this scent is for you. This is a decadent, exotic cake. It's reminiscent of a spice cake, but richer. It's scrumptious. Even better, this behaves wonderfully in CP soap. No problems at all. It discolors, of course, because of the vanilla. Within hours it was a pale beige and I fully anticipate it will become even darker. This is the cake scent you never knew you needed!

I Recommend This Product!
COMMENTS: A good holiday scent. I do get the buttercream and almond type scent. Smells really good. So I was pleasantly surprised when I got this. I get the spicy cardamom smell also. Exactly as described in the description. How often can you actually say that? I will buy this again.
COMMENTS: When I first opened the bottle I was not impressed. It was an awkward strong smell of a vanilla cake batter with a nutty after math and something that makes you go hmmmmm.... I used it first in small guest oatmeal MP soap batch and it came out amazing. I then tried it in CP loaf and again the end result is amazing. It comes out as a light and fluffy nutty cake batter scent, The whipped body butter retains the smell a little more so if you intend on using it for that start out on the light side. My husband says it's the best scent of body butter so far that I have made, if you didn't know it was body butter he said it smells like a kind of frosting that you may want to eat. :-) Give it a chance even though it's strong in the bottle.
