The "Maximum Use Level for Skin Exposure" is the amount of fragrance, flavor and essential oil that can come in contact with the skin. It does not mean that your base product can perform at these levels. You must test each oil in each application for evaluation of desired performance. Baby products have lower use levels than those listed above. If a desired application is not listed above, please call us at 1-800-359-0944 for maximum skin levels for skin exposure.
Scent is one of the most powerful of our five senses. Smelling a fragrance can trigger a treasured memory and provoke enjoyable thoughts. When designing products, consider how your customers will use your products. Will they be washed off? Will they be used to fragrance a home? Will they be used in conjunction with other products and how will those scents smell when combined? Consider complementing your scent with coordinating colors.

Directions: To Determine The Amount of Fragrance Oil Used In A Product:
The amount of fragrance that should be used in a formulation depends on three factors:
1) The maximum amount of scent the product base will accept .
2) The maximum IFRA skin safe level.
3) The amount of fragrance that smells good in your product.
You will look at these three maximum guidelines and use the LOWEST percentage.
For example: Desired smell is 5%, making MP soap is 3%, and the IFRA max use is 15%. You should not use more than 3% in your product. This 3% is the lowest of all of those numbers.
Maximum Product Base Guidelines:
MP Soap: 3% CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6% Lotions and Scrubs: 1 – 2% Bath Salts, Fizziest & Tub Soaks: 5-10% Candle Wax: 6-12% (see specific wax for exact levels)
To Determine The IFRA Guidelines:
IFRA is a self-regulating trade organization that together with the industry's scientific center RIFM (the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials), establishes usage safety standards for materials that comprise fragrance and essential oils. Each year IFRA updates their standards based on sound science.
Wholesale Supplies Plus updates IFRA documents annually so that customers can stay up-to-date with the latest science. If you find IFRA levels have changed for your formula, it is standard to take 2 years to update products in the market. You can find Wholesale Supplies Plus IFRA documents on the “documents” tab of this product page.
Fragrance oils that contain vanilla or vanillin will change color. The color change can take days, weeks, or months and can vary from a light ivory to dark brown. Our Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Stabilizers and Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Neutralizer will prevent some products from changing color. Oils that are dark in color, contain floral notes or spices may in time naturally change color.
COMMENTS: I used this oil in melt & pour soap and it smells A-MA-ZING!The only thing that I didn't like is that because it's such a soft scent, I had to use quite a bit of it (more than I normally do) to get the soap base to accept the scent...otherwise it would have been barely noticeable in the soap. But the scent itself smells soooo good its definitely worth it!

"An Acquired Taste"
COMMENTS: I really am conflicted with this fragrance. I've used it in lotion bars and jelly soap, and while my mom loves it, to me, it smells like cheap motel soap or old lady perfume, especially OOB. In lotion bars with virgin coconut oil, it was a bit better, and sometimes after washing my hands with jelly soap in this scent, the lingering fragrance on my hands isn't bad. I would definitely recommend mixing this with a more fruity scent, or even coconut, to mellow out the oppressive floral notes. I know it's based on a Bath and Body Works fragrance and their stuff tends to just scream "I AM SYNTHETIC", but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.
COMMENTS: Wonderful scent, smells like a vacation :)

"Great Smell, Be careful of Vanilla Content"
COMMENTS: I love this smell reminded me of beaches and sweet fruit. It is not overly flowery or sweet. A little goes a long way in CP. The only problem I had with is that is did speed up trace just a bit and it turns my white soap brown. A really ugly brown. I was really disappointed. Next time I will have to put in a Vanilla Color Stabilizer. But if you choose to color your soap ( which I did half) it does darken the color ( if you don't add a stabilizer)

I Recommend This Product!
COMMENTS: Smells great. Very sweet tropical scent. Soaps great with no acceleration or ricing
COMMENTS: No color variance while using in hot process or MP soaps. This scent is attractive to young girls and kids. Experienced no ceasing, or color variance. A fun and playful scent, excellent for the spring and summer scents. Pretty scent, but on the lighter side. Works well in multiple products.

"Not for me"
COMMENTS: To me, this a confusing mixture of scents. I am having trouble picking out anything specific, and I don’t like it at all—it smells a bit artificial and chemically. I used it in CP goat milk soap and it did perform well. It thickened the trace somewhat, but I had plenty of time to add botanicals and get a nice top swirl. It discolored to a strange yellow/tan, and the scent stayed strong. I’m not sure what I thought this should smell like, but it disappointed me.
The scent stays true and strong in lotion, but I do not think I would make more than just a sample to try it out. Not something I would want in body products.
COMMENTS: This tropical FO is sweet and fruity with a lovely floral finish. It performed beautifully in my CP soap, it turned the mixture a little grainy, but it did not separate. It mold perfectly and the soap cures to a light tan. This FO also works well in my Hawaiian red salt scrub. This fragrance is amazing! I like that it stayed true to itself in both processes.
COMMENTS: This FO performed okay in CP soap, did not seize but did slightly accelerate trace. It did discolor the soap a rather unattractive color of yellowish-greenish-tan. Not sure how one would enhance the off color.
The smell is flowery with a fruity undertone. I found it unremarkable and much prefer other floral or fruity FOs available through WSP.
It does have a long lasting scent in body spray, but still not the best choice, in my opinion for even this use. Reminds me too much of detergent or cleaner.
