Wholesale Supplies Plus, Inc. certifies that this fragrance product is in compliance with the standards of the International Fragrance Association, provided the fragrance is used in the above application (s) at the noted maximum concentration level(s).
The "Maximum Use Level for Skin Exposure" is the amount of fragrance, flavor and essential oil that can come in contact with the skin. It does not mean that your base product can perform at these levels. You must test each oil in each application for evaluation of desired performance. Baby products have lower use levels than those listed above. If a desired application is not listed above, please call us at 1-800-359-0944 for maximum skin levels for skin exposure.
Scent is one of the most powerful of our five senses. Smelling a fragrance can trigger a treasured memory and provoke enjoyable thoughts. When designing products, consider how your customers will use your products. Will they be washed off? Will they be used to fragrance a home? Will they be used in conjunction with other products and how will those scents smell when combined? Consider complimenting your scent with coordinating colors.

Directions: To Determine The Amount of Fragrance Oil Used In A Product:
The amount of fragrance that should be used in a formulation depends on three factors:
1) The maximum amount of scent the product base will accept .
2) The maximum IFRA skin safe level.
3) The amount of fragrance that smells good in your product.
You will look at these three maximum guidelines and use the LOWEST percentage.
For example: Desired smell is 5%, making MP soap is 3%, and the IFRA max use is 15%. You should not use more than 3% in your product. This 3% is the lowest of all of those numbers.
Maximum Product Base Guidelines:
MP Soap: 3% CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6% Lotions and Scrubs: 1 – 2% Bath Salts, Fizziest & Tub Soaks: 5-10% Candle Wax: 6-12% (see specific wax for exact levels)
To Determine The IFRA Guidelines:
IFRA is a self-regulating trade organization that together with the industry's scientific center RIFM (the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials), establishes usage safety standards for materials that comprise fragrance and essential oils. Each year IFRA updates their standards based on sound science.
Wholesale Supplies Plus updates IFRA documents annually so that customers can stay up-to-date with the latest science. If you find IFRA levels have changed for your formula, it is standard to take 2 years to update products in the market. You can find Wholesale Supplies Plus IFRA documents on the “documents” tab of this product page.
Fragrance oils that contain vanilla or vanillin will change color. The color change can take days, weeks, or months and can vary from a light ivory to dark brown. Our Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Stabilizers and Crafter’s Choice Vanilla Color Neutralizer will prevent some products from changing color. Oils that are dark in color, contain floral notes or spices may in time naturally change color.
COMMENTS: I received this as a sample. I like it but it's not my favorite mint. I probably would not purchase again. Love WSP don't get me wrong. I just prefer other mints and peppermints in their line up.

"Love the Double Mint "
COMMENTS: Cool crisp clean and refreshing! What a lovely combination of mint leaves, spearmint and eucalyptus. So refreshing. I used this in my hot process soap, blended smoothly, no difficulty of use, or ceasing. It does not change the color of the product because there is no vanilla in it, love that aspect. I believe I might like this blend better than just the straight peppermint, it has sophistication.

COMMENTS: Right out the bottle you can smell all three scents, the eucalyptus is very faint, and really neither of the mints are overshadowing the other. It is still a pretty basic mint scent, however. I used it in cold process goat milk soap, and it does soap well. No acceleration or ricing, and I colored the soap a light green that seems to be holding up well. The scent did change somewhat in my opinion in the cold process to a slightly strange, artificial version of itself. It could just be the eucalyptus showing up, but it didn’t stay true. I would probably blend this FO with something else in the future.
It did make a very nice sugar scrub for feet. The mint comes through strongly in that product and also adds a bit of tingle that is invigorating.
COMMENTS: Out of the bottle double mint smells a bit synthetic, but not at all bracing or biting like peppermint Essential oil would.
We made CP soap at 5% with it. It did not accelerate trace at all. Blended well in the soap. It smells like a mild mint in the finished soap. It is very clean and you can not determine one mint over another with it. It has a spearmint smell and a peppermint smell, but not overpowering with either one.
In lip balm, it is okay. I will stick with using essential oils in the future, though.
With mint EO being one of the cheapest essential oils, being all natural, and easy to obtain, I would not be likely to purchase a fragrance oil of mint for my products.

"Different but nice..."
COMMENTS: While this does have a minty overtone, there is a nice herbal note to it in the background. Clean, fresh and unique.
