"deep green color naturally" |
COMMENTS: I love colors and designs in my soaps, spirulina powder is a great way to get a deep green color in all-natural products. Care needs to be taken in not using too much because of the ocean/sea scent this product will give to a soap. The scent will fade with the cure, so I have not had a problem with the scent. But I have never tried to make a full bar green nor used it with light or delicate EOs. I have had no issue with browning. I mix the powder with oil and add that too the soap batter at light trace.

"In CP soap color was initially beautiful but faded" |
COMMENTS: I loved the skin benefits and initial deep blue/green color of using this additive in my cold process soap, but after curing for several weeks, and then use, the color faded to a light tan. The color morph doesn't affect the performance of the soap, but was not what I had in mind for a final product.

"Color faded while curing" |
COMMENTS: I love the color it makes in my CP soap at first but after a couple weeks (curing time), the color goes from vibrant green to non existent. I have tried it twice and it did it both times. I will try out other natural colorants in my soap...you never know until you use it whether it will work for what you do with your soap products. I may play around with the rest of it in something else, the benefits for the skin are great from what I have read.

"Green swirl soap" |
COMMENTS: I just made a Fir scented CP soap. I added 1 Tablespoon of the Spirulina powder to a portion and swirled that into the uncolored portion. It looks great! Letting it go through full gel stage in hopes of retaining more color as I've read several posts saying the color fades.

"Great product!" |
COMMENTS: Bought this product for the first time and gave it a try in my hot process soap. Wow, very cool! The powder was very finely ground and didn't clump. (I added it directly to the soap batter) It mixed in easily and produced a very lovely, earthy green. The color was very genuine and true.
I will definitely use this product again for my "greens".

"Beautiful color" |
COMMENTS: I love the dark green/blue color this gave to my soap. I didn't use too much as I was worried it would turn to dark, but probably could have afforded to use more. Definitely mix with a little of the melted oils before adding to avoid big lumps of color in the soap. The only downside was that it seemed like it faded out a lot after a few weeks of curing my CP soap, which is why I think I should've used more.

"Spirulina Love!!" |
COMMENTS: I used this in CPS for a natural colorant. I initially added 1 tsp to 1 tbsp Almond oil and whisked in a small glass jar to have ready for future use. When I used them this weekend, I was very happy to see the vibrant colors of nature and how well they held up through the gel phase. I am so glad I chose the natural route, these are wonderful.

"Love love love this stuff" |
COMMENTS: I absolutely 100% LOVE this stuff all the way around. The color is SO COOL. It came through different looking when I used it in CPP soap- of course it's VERY vibrant in the package and when it's diluted in soap it's less powerful. But wow what a neat shade of blue green it created and I love that I can achieve blue and green in a 100% natural way. This is my favorite colorant!

"Super Green Natural Color" |
COMMENTS: This mixed in quite well to my cold process soap. There are little specks of darker green that didn't completely incorporate, but for a natural colorant, what more can you ask for? Has a slight algae odor, but if you use fragrance, you shouldn't notice it.

"Smells like the ocean" |
COMMENTS: I knew what I was getting into when I ordered this spirulina powder, I was looking for something with an authentic ocean like, green organic smell (instead of soapy). Many commenters are unhappy with the fishy smell, but naturally, algae would give off such a scent. I plan on using it in ocean and sea themed products. Five stars because I am very happy with it and there is nothing wrong with it.

"Fishy Smell!" |
COMMENTS: I was aware that this powder has a tendency to have a fishy smell. First time using it there was no smell during mixing. I made one layer of my soap loaf with the spirulina and it made a pretty green. Each layer was fragranced with a combo of Sweet Orange and Lavender EO. When I went to unmold my loaf, the first thing I smelled was the fishy smell. The color is pretty right now, but I've read that it fades to a brown after curing. Not sure what I'm going to do about the loaf yet. Not sure if I cut off the "good" layers, if it'll still keep the fishy smell since it all "cooked" together during gel phase. I won't be using this again.

"Great Color!" |
COMMENTS: Some folks just love to know they are using products that are 100% all natural. This product allows me to offer that option with intense coloring as well. This is a bright color, doesn't bleed in your products but it does impart a little bit of a gross smell, so you'll need to use more EO or FO to overcome the natural occurring smell of this color. Otherwise, another great item from WSP!

COMMENTS: I was in love with the color this produced in my cold process soap when I made it, and even during the first month of curing. The color dulled to an olive green after several months (and this was kept out of sunlight). It also has a very strong scent, almost fishy. Not sure I will be using this again.

"Excellent Spirulina!" |
COMMENTS: This spirulina is great! I use it in HP soap and on top of its beneficial properties it also colors my soap a beautiful green.
