Cherry Vanilla Bath Truffles Recipe

About This Recipe:
This deliciously scented cherry vanilla bath truffle will fizz and bubble in your tub. The combination of cocoa and shea butters will leave your skin soft and moisturized.

(4) 2 oz Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa

(2) 2 oz Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White

(1) 2 oz Shea Butter - Ultra Refined

(1) 2 fl. oz Cherry Vanilla Fragrance Oil 188

(1) 2 oz Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulfate)

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Neon Pink Hot Pants Powder

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 2 Cup(s) Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 1 Cup(s) Citric Acid Powder
• 1 Cup(s) Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa
• 4 oz. Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White
• 2 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 10 ml(s) Cherry Vanilla Fragrance Oil 188
• 2 oz. Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulfate)
• 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Neon Pink Hot Pants Powder

• (1) Double Boiler
• (1) Spatulas

• (1) Wire Whisk

• (1) Ice Cream Scoop - Squeeze Handle-1.5"

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these product for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. In two mixing bowls, measure out 1 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup citric acid to each bowl.
  2. Blend mixture. Use a sifter to remove any clumps that appear.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of Lathanol LAL Powder to each bowl. (We recommend using a mask when working with this product.  It is a very fine powder and becomes airborne very quickly.)
  4. To one bowl add 1/8 tsp. of color and blend well with a wire whisk.
  5. Add 5 ml of Cherry Vanilla Fragrance Oil to each bowl and mix well with whisk. Set aside.
  6. Place 4 oz. cocoa butter and 2 oz. shea butter into a double boiler and heat until butters have completely melted.
  7. Stir melted butters and pour 3 oz. into each bowl of dry ingredients. Mix with a spatula to incorporate the ingredients.
  8. Using the scoop, fill half with white mixture and the other half with pink mixture.
  9. Place scoop onto a cookie sheet.  Continue in this manner until all product is used.
  10. Mixture will yield approximately 24 scoops. 
  11. Place the 2 oz. of Epsom Salts in a bowl. Add 1/8 teaspoon of Neon Pink Pleasures Powder color and mix well into the salts.
  12. Sprinkle the pink salts on top of the truffles. Let set out to dry overnight.
  13. Place 4 bath truffles into a cello bag and tie with raffia.
  14. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Add 1-2 bath scoops to running water. Let melt and soak in tub.
WARNING: Product will make tub slippery. Be careful when entering and exiting bath.
