- Latch sides and bottom of star mold together. Place on cookie sheet or inside a large cup or tupperware container to keep mold upright.
- To a microwave-safe measuring cup, add 8 oz. of cut up Extra Clear Soap. Add .15 oz. blue color block and heat in microwave in 30 second bursts until soap has melted.
- In beaker, mix 7 ml Apple Pie Fragrance Oil and 3.5 ml Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Let set for 2 minutes and add to melted soap.
- Pour soap into column mold filling 1/3 full. Filling mold in three parts helps prevent the soap from bowing. Spritz top of soap before each pour until column mold is filled to the top. Spritz top of soap and let harden completely.
- In two separate measuring cups, place 22 oz. of cut up clear soap in one and 22 oz. of white soap in the other.
- To clear soap, add 0.20 oz. red soap color block. Heat in microwave until melted.
- In beaker, mix 0.60 oz. of Apple Pie Fragrance Oil with 0.30 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer and stir. Let set for 2 minutes and add to red soap.
- Place silicone loaf mold on scale and tare. Pour 6 oz. of soap into bottom and spritz with alcohol. Let harden slightly, then place in refrigerator to harden completely.
- Heat second measuring cup of white soap in microwave until melted.
- In beaker, mix 0.60 oz. of Apple Pie Fragrance Oil with 0.30 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer and stir. Let set for 2 minutes and add to white soap.
- Remove loaf from refrigerator. Generously spritz soap well with rubbing alcohol. When white soap cools to 125°F, pour a 6 oz. layer of soap over red soap. Again, let harden.
- Remove blue soap from Star Column Silicone Mold by carefully splitting open the sides and removing the soap. Trim edges of any excess soap. Set aside.
- Generously spritz white soap in loaf with alcohol. Pour 6 oz. of red soap into mold. If soap has hardened, place in microwave briefly for 15 seconds to melt.
- Spritz the star all over with alcohol and place into the red soap, positioning on the left side. Let harden.
- Once soap has hardened, pour another 6 oz. of white soap (4th layer), spritzing well with alcohol before pouring. Be sure soap temperature is at or below 125°F.
- Once soap has hardened, pour 6 oz.of red (5th layer) over white, being sure to check soap temperature.
- Once red soap has set up, pour final layer of white, spritzing first, and then spritzing the top of soap. Let loaf harden completely.
- Remove soap from loaf and cut into slices, using mitre box if available.
- Wrap in plastic wrap or other airtight packaging and label accordingly.
