Product Details

Apricot Oil is used for its softening and moisturizing properties and is therefore recommended for skin that is dry or cracked. This Oil is all natural, expeller pressed and has virtually no scent. Use apricot oil in face creams, lotions, body oils and soaps!

Cold & Hot Process Soap. Lotions. Scrubs.

Light weight oil that is high in Vitamin A Rich, Oleic Acid and Linoleic Acid. Excellent texture that is great for all skin types. Recommended for skin that is dry, irritated or cracked. All Natural. Expeller Pressed.

"Can this oil be used with 20142 and/or 20140 to be applied to the skin via roller ball? If so, do I need to thin this oil out, or can it be used as is? Staff Answer Without knowing your recipe, we cannot know for sure why this happened. It usually means, though, that you do not have enough liquid in your recipe. You have added too much clay, salt or another dry ingredient in the formula.

My bath bomb is hard this time, this is my second mix. Same recipe, I only change the sweet almond oil, to rice bran oil for the second mix. At first mix is good, fizzy and no crack. But this time I did not warm the rice bran oil. Thanks for response Recipe: 32 oz soda, 16 ozcitric acid, 4 oz fine epson salt, 2 oz rice bran, 0.7 polysorbate 80, .3 Lavender E0, and hazel, mica.

Staff Answer You might want to increase the oil a bit. Your mixture might be too dry. You might also try placing your bath bombs in a sealed container overnight to harden.

Yes almost any oils can be used to infuse. Apricot kernel oil is a great one to use, just make sure to check your recipe to see if you have enough to put in crock pot or if a smaller jar would be better for your use

This is a lovely, light oil. Much lighter than olive and soaks in quickly. Just don't overheat your infusion.

Apricot kernel oil is a lovely oil for infusing. Keep your crock temperature at medium instead of very high and let it infuse for longer. This oil is also a wonderful substitute for some olive oil in cold process soap if you plan to use it that way, and as a substitute for nut oils if that is a concern for you.

Staff Answer The Overview for this states: skin softening and moisturizing properties and is therefore recommended for skin that is dry. It does not mention that in the description for Sweet Almond Oil. But you would need to test it out to see which is better for the product you are selling.

This is going to very by person, but apricot is my first choice for a light oil for dry, sensitive skin. It is similar to sweet almond, but slightly richer. Less worries about irritation from nut allergies too. If you find that it is too light, add a bit of jojoba. Avocado is another similar oil and a good choice for your needs.

Sweet almond oil has better slip but apricot kernel oil is not as heavy. It also is a better alternative if nut allergies are a concern.

COMMENTS: Apricot kernel oil is one that I now buy by the gallon. I have been able to use this in so many products, as well as add it as a carrier oil in conjunction with my line of essential oils. People love that it is lightweight, and particularly because it is truly odorless. This does have a slight greasier feel than other oils and people have their preference. But I upgraded from the 16oz bottle to the 7lb option due to its popularity.

Apricot provides a good slip, and I can add a little to my soap bases for extra moisture. I would categorize this as one of the lighter oils, and I can not detect a distinct fragrance.

I also use it blended with coconut oil for a super soft shave without any need to moisturize after showering. "Light, refined, moisturizing oil"

COMMENTS: LOVE using this oil for lotion bars, this is seriously my splurge item, but definitely worth it in my opinion. wouldn't imagine making a bar without this oil because it gets deep down into your pores and helps out dry skin issues.

COMMENTS: The first batch I did using this kind of oil- wow it cut so differently....it's so so so silky. The bar is softer when cutting using this oil, but the finished product is gentle, moisturizing and just lovely. I am in love with this oil for all of the different properties. If I want a hard bar I still use it and just add cocoa butter!

"A Beautiful Oil"

COMMENTS: I used to use Sweet Almond Oil in all of my concoctions however since finding Apricot Kernel oil that has changed. The Apricot Kernel seems to be a much more conditioning oil, leaves skin feeling more moisturized than just the Sweet Almond and gives a nice, conditioning lift to my old fashioned shaving soaps as well. The price is just a tiny bit better than the Sweet Almond too. I'll continue to use both but it's nice to have an alternative to my old stand-by.

COMMENTS: I'm always on the look out for oils that have excellent conditioning properties to play with without spending a fortune...this is one of those "must have oils" for that very reason. The price is unbeatable, and you get an oil that works WONDERS for Cold Process recipes where you need good conditioning oils. I've also used this in my sugar scrubs, leaves skin feeling beautifully soft with no greasy residue. It's very mild as well, great for baby products! COMMENTS: Apricot Kernel Oil is a light, yet emollient oil that is high in oleic and linoleic acids. It is similar in feel and properties to Sweet Almond Oil and is readily absorbed into the skin, without worrying about allergic reactions to nuts (unlike with Sweet Almond Oil). Love to use it for mature skin, sensitive skin and skin that is inflamed, irritated or dry in my lotion & facial serum oils.

COMMENTS: When I first saw recipes calling for apricot kernel oil I wanted to just substitute an oil I already had, but after using the apricot kernel oil, I wouldn't switch it out. This oil is affordable, and adds moisture and smoothness to recipes. I'd certainly recommend this product. Thanks!

COMMENTS: I like to use this oil when sweet almond is too heavy. I also replace some of my olive oil in soaps with this or avocado oil. My summer lotions always have a percentage of apricot oil, as I like the moisture without the heaviness.

"Looks Great on an Ingredient List "

COMMENTS: I love to have an oil on my ingredient list that the customer has a moment of "Hmmm that sounds good". Apricot Kernel Oil is not one of those pricey oils. Tends to be mid priced. It is one of those nice oils to put in which shows the customer that you are making truly unique products they can't find at the grocery store and puts my products in that luxury class.

"Goat Milk Lotions"

COMMENTS: Apricot Kernel Oil is so moisturizing for your skin. It mixes extremely well in my lotions with the other oils and the goat milk. I combine this oil with pumpkin seed oil and coconut oil. The mixtures of all these oils are absolutely wonderful on my skin. Then adding goat milk just enhances the moisturizing process on my skin. I highly recommend using the Apricot Kernel Oil when making lotions and I’m sure there are lots of other uses for this also.

COMMENTS: I use a lot of this oil in my cold process soap recipes, love the price for the 7 lb bottle because shipping is included, that makes it easy to know what the final cost is. I can find better oil price somewhere else but when added the shipping cost the final price just goes over the roof. I also use apricot kernel oil sometimes in my message oil, it's not as greasy as avocado oil, only leaves a light shin on the skin, and also great for people who worries about nut allergy.
