Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

"Absolutely the BEST value for a beginner"

COMMENTS: I wanted to add soap to my product line and I'm too impatient to let soap cure before I can sell it. I bought this sample set since it included most of the blocks I was looking to buy, and it allowed me to test each one and see how I liked it before committing to a larger order. This gave me A LOT of soap to work with. Each two-pound package has been easy to open and getting the soap out, the soap is easy to cut, and the container it comes in allows for storage if you don't use the whole block. I had previously bought a 2-pound Shea butter base from another supplier, but WSP's quality is much higher. I also like that the trays are resealable instead of the slabs coming wrapped in plastic wrap. Saves me from having to find a container for my left overs. I used the basic clear slabs to make shreds, embeds, and color blocks. I loved playing with different micas and natural ingredients to get a wide spectrum of colors. I didn't see much difference in the clarity of the three clear bases, but that could also be my 'untrained' eye. The Shea Butter, Goat's Milk, and Oatmeal bases are perfect on their own or with very little fragrance/color added. I've only been making individual bars using recipes found here, but just bought a loaf mold to try out other techniques. I can't wait to start experimenting with the embeds and shreds that I've made!

COMMENTS: I bought this to sample the MP bases WSP has to offer. I fell in love with EVERY soap in the sample pack. It was soooo difficult to choose my favorite one. I guess I can say its the Goat Milk one :-). I don't do much MP but this is definitely a set I will continue to order so that I have all I need on hand at one time. It's a great deal.
