Staff Answer We do carry Walnut Oil: https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/products/walnut-oil.aspx. Adding the powder to a lotion base will leave speckling and a gritty feel to the lotion.

Staff Answer No, this does not need to be premixed with anything before adding to a MP soap base. You may want to mix with a small amount of melted soap first then add to your larger batch of melted soap.

"I have black walnuts and if you pick them up with bare hands they will stain your skin brown. Since this is made from them, is there a risk of staining the skin? Thank You."

This powder will more than likely stain skin if it isn't mixed with anything else. You can always wash it off though with soap and water.

I add it to my CP soap for a slight exfoliation. I would go lightly for the face and test the amount you use.

"I'd like to make an olive oil infusion with black walnut hull powder and then add it to cold process soap as a colorant. If I heat the olive oil with the powder to make the infusion, how much powder should I use per cup of olive oil? "

Staff Answer If you are using it for natural coloring you can start with a teaspoon per pound, double/triple for darker shades. Go sparingly as a little can go a long way.

Staff Answer We have only tested this in soaps and bath fizzies, so I cannot say how it will work in cream. It is a fairly fine powder though, so I am not sure it would provide enough exfoliation for what you are looking for.
