Chamomile Extract is used to enhance handmade cosmetics because chamomile flowers have a calming and soothing scent. Use this water soluble extract to naturally enhance your soaps, lotions, facial creams, bath products and more.

This product conforms to the reporting requirements of California Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) and are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):
Water (and) Glycerin (and) Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Sodium Benzonate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):
Water, Glycerin, Chamomile Extract.

Note: When this blend is used as an ingredient in another product you can omit the ingredients sodium benzonate, potassium sorbate and citric acid from the label because they are considered "incidental".

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir desired amount of liquid into formula and mix well. Common use levels for 1 pound of base are: 1 teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon.

TIPS: This product provides rich attributions to formulations such as lotions, shower gels, shampoos and face masks. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

"When using the Stephen's Organic Body Wash Base Base (or any natural soap base), do you add once the soap has been heated or is it not necessary to heat the soap to add the extract? When making making 1.3 gallons, how much extract to add? There is also a mandarin essential oil in the recipe as well. These are the only two additives."

"From the beginning I have made Goat's milk soap with chamomile tea. Now I buy the chamomile powder from WSP and add it instead of the tea, for a great soft, non scratchy soap. Does this extract have any scent at all? I would love to add it to my soap."

	"Not what I was looking for"
COMMENTS: I love anything chamomile related however, when I purchased this I wasn't paying attention to the "water soluble" aspect. I needed the oil infused with chamomile. Not realizing it was water soluble I put it in my salve and wasted the whole batch as it wasn't able to absorb into the product without adding this or that. I keep salves and rubs 100% oils and hard butters. I will use it up in my sugar scrubs eventually though. It's still a good product.

COMMENTS: Chamomile is a great additive, and an extract adds that extra boost! When combined with chamomile tea and calendula steeped oils, it makes up my most popular lotion! Very light and moisturizing and good for irritated, dry, or skin with issues, such as eczema. Great product!
