"Hello. I just ordered this EO from your website. The usage rate in soap is quite low, .5%. Does this mean .5% of the whole batch? Water, lye and oils included (so for a 54 ounce batch I would be able to use .27 ounces of EO)? Or does this mean .5% of just the oils in this batch (37 ounces of oils so I would only use .18 or .19 ounces of this EO)? Thank you for your help! Keely Munoz"

"I've seen a few recipes for a warming massage lotion using cinnamon leaf oil as the active ingredient. Will this cinnamon leaf oil work for that? Create a hot/warming sensation when blended with a carrier oil and applied to the skin? Thanks!"

COMMENTS: If you don't love cinnamon, don't buy this. LOL! Seriously, this is a great EO, just be sure if you're using it in soap, that you're watching the usage rates. A little goes a long way, even for someone who likes scents at their strongest. Didn't discolor for me, but it did accelerate a bit, so just plan ahead, and you'll be happy with it too! One other thing I like to use this for, is scenting wax to dip pinecones, I display them in baskets by our fire ring when we have company, and use them as fire starters. They really look and SMELL fantastic in holiday arrangements, too.

COMMENTS: MAN! This stuff is STRONG. I mean, when they say it is a true cinnamon, they arnt lying. This isn't your moms cinnamon roll, this is straight up you snorted a line of pure cinnamon extract. I would recommend using half of whatever your recipe calls for. Great price, strong scent. Not for the weak of heart!

"Cinnamon"

COMMENTS: Love the scent, I have used the cinnamon essential oil in two soap batches. In the first batch, I was not aware at how fast cinnamon causes cold process soap to saponify. I had a slight issue with seizing. I thought it was going to be a complete wash, I still went ahead and put in the mold and waited a day. The advancement did not effect the soap at all, it turned out perfect, and the smell was not effected either. Just 1.5 oz made in a dozen bars was a perfect amount and has made my soap room smell fantastic. I was a little more careful with the second batch, I added my essential oil right before pouring into the mold to make sure it didnt clump on me. Overall the cinnamon essential oil was a good buy.

"IMPRESSIVE SMELL"

COMMENTS: I bought it because of its antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, anti... anti... properties. There is a study where many essential oils were put on a test and cinnamon leaf oil gets the higher ranking against many types of bacteria, fungus and viruses. To my surprise, never expected to smell so good. I thought it was going to be more like a kitchen/baking smell, instead it smells more like a expensive men's cologne. I definitively will use it in much more products, highly recommended for men's products.

COMMENTS: I used this in CP soap. The scent reminds me of the red hot candies I ate as a child. In CP soap it did not discolor and the scent stayed well. In the shower, however, the scent really came through. Wonderful! Glad that WSP includes the IFRA Guidelines on the amount to use too.

"Great Natural Cinnamon Scent"

COMMENTS: So happy with this scent! I tried a smaller bottle to see if I would like the scent. I will definitely be buying a larger a bottle. The scent is wonderful. Smells like Christmas time and will be great addition to my holiday soaps. Great Price too!

"Cinnamon Leaf EO"

COMMENTS: This EO is very powerful which means it goes a long way and is quite affordable. I have used it in soy candles but purchase it mainly to go in my all natural toothpaste because of all of its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial qualities. It leaves one's breath feeling fresh and tastes lovely. The fact that WSP's site includes the "Documents" feature which tells you what percentage of the product you may use depending upon what product you are making is awesome. Just one more reason I purchase through WSP.

COMMENTS: As expected, my cp seized, but it was saveable. Lavender oil mixed with cinnamon is such a warm scent I had to make it! Since, I've stuck to adding that blend to hot process soap without problems. Nice for cocoa butter bath melts too.

COMMENTS: I love this cinnamon EO. It is not as overpowering as some and I can feel safe using it in my soap products. It doesn't accelerate trace or discolor the batter. I always enjoy the fact that WSP always packages the bottles and then makes sure they are sealed and taped at the top. No leakage! I would buy this again!

"Smells great"

COMMENTS: I used this for cold process soap. The only fragrance I added for this batch was the cinnamon. It smells great; in my opinion, like dentyne gum. The soap did kind of experience the volcano effect and erupted over the side of the soap mold, but not too much. I guess this is related to the flashpoint, although the flashpoint is not that low. I know some people are sensitive to cinnamon essential oil, but I did not have any side effects or allergic reaction to this soap.
