"The IFRA usage rates for Cucumber Melon FO are 3.7% for lotion & soap and 3.3% for face cream. Perfume is 37%. I was wondering if this is a typo, should it be 3.7%? I've noticed most, but not all, are similar rates between lotion and perfume so just wanted to double check."

"When I use the fo to make melt and pour soaps there's always this wet fluid after it sits for four hours to set. Why is that? I have used it three times and it has happened each time. "

"Not what I was expecting"

"I wanted to love it."

COMMENTS: It accelerated trace really badly. Two weeks into the cure and there is no scent left at all. I wouldn't recommend this for cold process soap.

"Smells good, needs more cucumber."

COMMENTS: I like this fragrance a lot, but it is mostly melon and very little cucumber. I'd prefer a more balanced scent, but I am going to add more cucumber FO myself.

COMMENTS: This was a huge disappointment. The OOB smell was extremely off-putting, but I decided to give it a chance any way. I should of known better. It smells like those smelly markers from the 90's. I'm laughing writing this but I'm honestly pretty pissed about it.

COMMENTS: Smells more like melon than cucumber, would be better named if it were called "Melon ball." Also accelerated trace QUICKLY. I was unable to perform a melt and pour and had to convert to a 2 layer color due to how fast I had to move. That will teach me not to perform a test batch first.

COMMENTS: So I've never ordered this brand before so I was excited. In comparison with the other companies scents even different scents this brand was so strong it smelt terrible. Once I smelt the cucumber melon for the first time everything smelt like that for me. I've tried just putting one drop on a clean surface and smelling it alone thinking smelling straight from the bottle was a bit much, but it didn't change infact the more I smell it, the more I don't like it. I've gotten a handful of others to smell it also and they too think it smells bad. I don't even know maybe what to mix with it to get it to smell right. It to me smells way more melon-ish than cucumber. Im open to suggestions. If I can't figure it out I'm likely to just use the other company.

"Accelerates in CP"

COMMENTS: I love the smell, though as other reviewers have noted, it's more melon and less cucumber smelling. I read the reviews before soaping with this fragrance, and I went into my studio with a fairly complicated design in mind, largely because previous reviewers said they had no acceleration whatever. That was not the experience I had. I soaped at room temperature, with my normal recipe (which is mostly soft oils), stirred in the FO rather than stick-blending, etc, etc. Ended up with thick batter in which I broke two chopsticks while attempting to swirl it. I guess that's what I get for trying an intricate design with a new (to me) FO. Not the hugest deal ever...it still works great in all my other products. Just gonna do a simpler design next time.

	"Not Cucumber Melon....Just Melon"
COMMENTS: To my surprise this F.O. doesn't smell like any cucumber. I promised my customer a Cucumber Melon Body Butter, instead she'll be getting a melon one. The melon scent is very sweet and strong. Though it smells VERY GOOD, I was disappointed that it didn't live up to it's name.

"My new favorite scent in bath bombs"

COMMENTS: I really enjoyed this fragrance oil. I wouldn't say it was BBW equal, but it was really close. I might even like this better than BBW. I used this in sugar scrubs, melt and pour and bath bombs. The bath bombs are still quite strong and my family and friends say that the melt and pour soaps have held their scent very well. Everyone loved the sugar scrubs. I would like to use this in a cold process soap next. I only made the melt and pour because I didn't have enough time to cure enough bars before Christmas this year.

COMMENTS: I bought this scent because the reviews said it most closely resembled cucumber melon from Bath & Body Works. I haven't tried the other cucumber melon scents offered, but this one is not a close match, in my opinion. It does smell good though! It has more of a melon scent than it does cucumber.

"So much better than the 2010 edition!"

COMMENTS: I bought a 16 ounce bottle of the 2010 edition and used it a few times but hated it. I decided to give this one a try before retiring the scent from my line and I'm glad I did! "Just not what I was looking for"

COMMENTS: Seems like this fragrance has been around for a while and is here to stay. I like to use it in the summer when gardens and fields are growing all around. "Crisp scent"

COMMENTS: This is a lovely scent that did really well with my CP soap. The scent seemed to fade a bit after saponification, but it's still there. Time will tell if it holds up well in cured soap. Very lovely scent though.

"Made my Kitchen Smell like Summer"

COMMENTS: New Favorite! Ordered the 4 oz for a custom gift set order for the holidays and in turn, it has become a favorite of mine! The gift set was a bath bomb, glycerin soap bar, sugar scrub, whipped body butter, and soy candle. Worked well with all. Customer loved it! Did a trial run and noticed some brown speckles on bath bombs, wasn't expecting that. VCS for CP is out of stock so I guess I'll wait! Want to try a CP watermelon styled loaf as I smelled more watermelon from this than anything.

"A little heavy on the watermelon"

COMMENTS: I don't pick up the cucumber in this FO; I am mostly noticing the watermelon. I don't mind this FO, but I wish it had a little more cucumber. This also leaves a slightly sticky reside when working with it. I generally use this FO for bath bombs, but they haven't sold as well as I thought they would.

"Amazing scent"

COMMENTS: I have two top scents and this is one of them. Hard to describe as cucumbers have no scent but this has a clean refreshing scent. Some customers are hesitant to try because of the name. I send samples and it always brings an order when they can try it. Performs very well in cold process soap. No color change or ricing. Time to work a design. I have reordered the large bottle on this one and keep it in stock.

COMMENTS: I originally purchased this as an alternative to the Cool Cucumber F/O for the face mask recipe here on WSP, as I wasn't sure which one would work best. This F/O is sweeter with a definitive melon scent mixed in with the cucumber - slightly more than the cucumber, I think, but good. I make luffa soaps with other vegetable / fruit scents and this was a great addition to that line.

COMMENTS: When I first received this fragrance, I received the equivalent of "Barber Shoppe" not Cucumber Melon, I knew the smell instantly as I had ordered the Barber Shoppe several months before. However, WSP, quickly sent me out the fragrance, Cucumber Melon, I originally ordered and WOW! I had a spa night with some friends to test the fragrance, and it was a HUGE HIT. I am going to run out of the 4 oz. before it even hits my shelves due to orders from friends. I will definitely order more. The smell is fresh and tantalizing, you just can't help but keep smelling yourself! I am not a fruity type person when it comes to fragrances for myself, but wow, did I love this one, and so did my friends. Its sure to be a big hit with customer's this spring/summer season! "A little sweeter than I expected"

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil reminds me of starburst candies for some reason but I still like it a lot. When I thought of cucumber melon i was thinking of a fruitier more plant-like scent but this is sweeter and a bit more synthetic. Several of my customers love this fragrance so I plan on keeping it but I think I might switch to the 2010 version of it just to see if it is a bit less sweet. The vanilla content will make it discolor some but nothing that stabilizer can't prevent.
