| COMMENTS: Pros- Turned out nice looking
Cons- Solidifies pretty fast., Although it is detergent free, I found it began to sweat right off the bat. I shrink wrapped it soon as it was solid but even then I could feel the oil through the plastic wrap. Wrinkled up a bit.
Overall- no I wouldn’t recommend this product.

""Sticky" and Sweats - Wasn't moisturizing" |
| COMMENTS: I was really hoping to love this base. When I got the 2 lb container, the corner to lift the top off was broken (not a big deal), but when I removed the lid, two parts of the base was sweating. When I popped out the whole block from the plastic, it was sticky and wet. I also bought the honey base but it wasn't sticky at all. I still used it but found that it sweat quite a bit. When trying the soap after I finished making the molds, it left my skin dry and taught. I also feel the colors didn't need to be added to the soap to make it look more "authentic", but it didn't affect the clarity of the soap. I just didn't find it moisturizing. I purchased this seeing all the positive reviews, but I personally like the honey and other DF other butter and milk soaps.

| COMMENTS: I bought this to make soap for my husband; many store bought soaps are drying and cause his skin to itch after use, I bought this to try with him and it works great! No more itchy skin! Color works great with this soap and holds fragrance very well! No dryness when used a lot for washing hands. Rinses off real easy and clean. Going to try a batch next with a little neem oil for my son who has further skin issues. Love this soap & will continue to purchase!

| COMMENTS: I really, really, really wanted to LOVE the CC Detergent-Free bases, including this one (especially for the free shipping!). However, I've been comparing these ones to the SFIC natrual ones and find that the SFIC ones have a nicer, richer, more cushion-y lather. It could be that the SFIC bases DO have a few more ingredients (which might be not entirely natural) and also that the SFIC bases use more than just coconut oil, which can be drying. So I guess if you are trying to have a soap with the LEAST amount of ingredients, then this is a good choice, but SFIC feels better, so I'm going with that brand for my main base. I also REALLY wish CC would make a detergent free base without propylene glycol, pretty please! Thanks for making detergent-free bases!!!!

| COMMENTS: I initially purchased the Detergent Free Aloe and Olive Soap in a 2 lb. container as an experiment for a melt and pour soap base product. Not only has it been a successful experiment, but I am back to order it in the 24 lb. size. It has quickly become a favorite soap of many people to who it has been gifted. I really like that it has no added harsh chemicals. It is moisturizing without leaving a feeling of residue. The natural fragrance is very faint, and it carries additive fragrances well. I also like the pale green color, and its translucence. It will continue to be a favorite of mine!

It is very creamy but the bar melts quickly compared to the coconut block which doesn't have much of odor and the bars seem to last much longer and is super creamy! I would buy again though. "Facial Cleansing Bars" |
| COMMENTS: Love Love this soap. It's detergent free and not drying at all. I use this when I make my melt and pour facial bars, pour them in a low profile jar, and use a microfiber round cleansing sponge. Works wonders and does not dry out your skin. I added F/O Aloe and clover, and added some meadowfoam seed oil. Everyone loves it. Smells fresh and clean on the skin. Best facial cleanser I have ever used.

"Another Moisturizing Base" |
| COMMENTS: Of course I like the detergent free option.
This soap is very moisturizing on my dry skin.
It has a slight green/yellow tint to it, the same as Olive Oil color. So if you add color, it will not color the soap right. I would use the Clear or Crystal Clear for that.
I use it without adding color and sometimes using dried seeds or ground oatmeal inside the soap for an added pop and some exfoliation.

| COMMENTS: just an fyi- this soap base is translucent with a green tint. I was hoping it wasn't greenish since there isn't a picture up yet, but it is- so we will work with it. Probably make it a foot scrub soap! No real smell to it like some bases can have. I am looking forward to using it!

| COMMENTS: I have to say I think this aloe & olive is one of my favorite bases! It is just wonderful by itself, I love the scent(no fragrance,etc. added) alone, plus just feels soo good, lathers good, bar lasts , I have added fragrance oils and holds fragrance well, either way a keeper !

| COMMENTS: ...good things about this base. I live in Georgia so this time of year the heat gets to even the most native of us in the South. I wanted a cooling soap base to make my line of summer products and found this one. As it turns out, it's so popular I'm having a hard time keeping it in stock!! | COMMENTS: This is my favorite summertime soap! With or without additives. I use it both ways. I do a lot of landscaping and get filthy. This is the first soap to completely clean me in one scrubbing. lol. Even removes the dye from colored mulch under my nails. And it doesn't dry my skin! It's now the only cleanser I use on my face too, with green tea and lavender EO added. The light fragrance is so fresh and the slight color is very pretty.

"Excellent Base" |
| COMMENTS: I purchased this base recently and tested it yesterday. The base is a beautiful light green tint. The clarity is fantastic. The soap became hardened quickly in the mold with minimal surface bubbles. I utilized blue Mica to color the soap and the combination of the green tint and blue made a beautiful blue green color. The soap was made using Bay Rum scent and smelled terrific and today the scent is still very strong. I utilized the soap when bathing and the lather was wonderful and the soap itself was very moisturizing. This is a valuable alternative and would be great for anyone with sensitive skin.
