This Australian Tea Tree Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free base. This transparent soap base has a green hue and smells lightly of tea tree essential oil. The two-pound tray is the perfect size container for projects making (8) 4 oz. bars of soap. The lid allows for unused soap to easily be stored for future use.

This product conforms to the reporting requirements of California Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) and are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).
Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved): Sorbitol, Coconut Oil, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Bamboo Extract, Aloe Vera, Chromium Oxide.
Directions: MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice or Milky Way soap mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

COMMENTS: This is a great soap base, takes color & additional additives well, great clean scent, customers love! An especially big hit with my male customers. Only complaint is that WSP is pretty inconsistant with pricing. The original price was great and it's gone up and down periodically, but if you're using these to sale, if the price increases any more, it won't be a good investment.

COMMENTS: Stumbled onto this accidentally. Love it! Will definitely buy the bigger block next time...
COMMENTS: This melt and pour soap is good for a quick tea tree soap, but I would mix it with some other melt and pour because the tea tree smell is SO strong and there are not a lot of bubbles to this one. When I mixed it with another melt and pour, the scent calmed down and the bubbles increased slightly.

"Feels Great; Light Scent"
COMMENTS: I used this to make a 5 oz bath bar embedded with loofah. I didn't embellish it with color or scent as I didn't know what would work with the natural tea tree aroma. I didn't feel like the tea tree needed to be covered up. It unmolded easily. I made the bars for Christmas gifts. From cleaning up the containers the soap had a nice feel and didn't dry out my hands. I hope it contains enough malaleuca to be beneficial. On the minus side, I left fingerprints on the bars when I unmolded them. I should have worn gloves.

"Great Soap Base for Skin Care Line"
COMMENTS: I love this soap base for my skin care line. I use in both a women's and men's skin care bar for normal to oily and acne prone skin. This get's great reviews! For the women's bar, I blend with the coconut based melt and pour soap blend and to both men's and women's bars I add embeds of charcoal. I work with essential oils that are great for acne and use a feminine blend for the women's (one EO included is geranium) and for men's I go with a more masculine smelling blend (with Juniper). These generate strong repeat sales for me. Love this product!

COMMENTS: I was afraid this base would have the strong, funky tea tree scent you get from some of the shampoos in the store. Not at all! It is a very pleasant, light fragrance that can be paired easily with essential oils or masked over completely with fragrance oils. Smells great on its own, though and the soap itself feels so nice!

COMMENTS: I made my sister a small soap bar of this tea tree first and she absolutely loved it! I added a little fragrance oil to it and the rest of the batch sold off the self! COMMENTS: The scent was strong but I prefer that when it comes to tea tree oil. I feel like the scent can stand alone, definitely doesn't need fragrance oil, however i added the Lemon grass green tea fragrance to it as an experiment. It was smooth to touch and it didn't have a residue like feel after using. I'm hoping to see how it will react to Activated charcoal being mixed with it. I Have no complaints.
