"Can I add fragrance, honey powder or sunflower oil and coffe grounds and mica to this DF Moroccan Argan soap base as long as all combined do not exceed 6 percent? Thanks"

Staff Answer You can add all the ingredients you listed up to the 6%. Adding sunflower or any other oil will cut down on the soap lather.

"I need to know if these base are halal. My concern is with the lye in the base. I need to know if it is derived from wood ash or animal product. I am also concerned with the glycerin. Is it from animal products? "

Staff Answer Our MP soap bases can accept up to 6% additives, including fragrance. Adding more than this will soften the soap and keep it from hardening. Also, adding oils such as rice bran will lessen the amount of lather the soap creates.

"Hello, I have seen on some of the reviews that the finished bars can be soft. Would adding some Mango Butter help with bar hardness and longevity? "

Staff Answer We do not recommend this. Adding any oil or butter will lessen the lather of the soap. We have found that adding some kaolin clay to the soap will help to harden.

"How well do the melt and pour bases take additives such as natural clay? Will it cause the bar to become to dry? If not, What would be the usage rate for natural clay? "

Staff Answer The soap bases do accept clay powders well. You don't want to add too much as the clays can speckle and can cause the soap to become dry. The recommended usage rate is 1%.

"Does this soap base harden like the detergent free Coconut Milk base, or does it sweat like the clear base. I would like to use the soap boxes with the window for wrapping. Thanks"

Staff Answer The detergent free bases all have similar hardness. You will need to test the soap boxes with your soap. If the weather is hot and humid enough, you may experience some sweating.

Staff Answer This base contains Silk Amino Acids which comes from the cocoon of a silkworm. You would need to decide if this would be considered vegan.

"Do you carry a Premium Argan Soap Base? I really want to try the argan , but I usually do not like the detergent free bases,and this one is much more expensive than most Premium soaps . I am worried this one won't be worth the cost.."
