Crafter's Choice™ Detergent Free Oatmeal MP Soap Base - 10 lb Block

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):
Sorbitol, Sodium Cocoate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Titanium Dioxide.

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):
Sorbitol, Coconut Oil, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Oatmeal, Titanium Dioxide.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice or Milky Way soap mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

Staff Answer This product is considered to be vegan and cruelty-free. Because all MP soap bases use lye, they can not be considered all-natural or organic; however, all of our detergent free bases are considered to be 'true soap'.

"Hi all! I am new to melt and pour soaps so this may seem like am dumb question to you. But...regarding your packaging...the 2 pound soap packaging is awesome as it has the grids on the bottom of the package (and thus the soap mold too) denoting each ounce. So easy to use! Does the 10 lb. Soap also have this...or is it just a block of soap I would have to measure myself by weighing? Thanks!"

"Confused ??? ... Is your pricing correct on 10 lbs. of Oatmeal detergent free soap for $38.95? I am asking this as it would be $4.20 less for 10 lbs. by purchasing 5 of the 2 lb. containers at $6.95 each. 5 - 2 lb. containers @ $6.95 is $34.75 for 10 lbs, instead of the bulk 10 lbs. for $38.95. Is this a typo for the 10 lb. bulk price? "

"Could you please clear up a couple of things? With the detergent free bases, is it best to wrap immediate after unmolding or should I let them cure a bit to get harder? Do I need to list all the ingredients given, or can I just say "Oatmeal Soap"? I'm not claiming any benefits (relieving dry skin, etc.). I'm only adding more oatmeal to the base and a very light scent (essential oil). Thanks! "

Staff Answer You can let them sit for a day or two, mostly if you live in a humid climate. We do recommend wrapping, it is more sanitary to do so. For labeling, since this soap has no added detergents, it is not necessary to list ingredients on your label as long as you state this is soap only.
