Lotion. Body Moisturizer. This is a ready to use base. It can be used “as is” or it can have color and fragrance incorporated prior to packaging.

Maximum Temp Note: If a base is heated over “Maximum Heating Temperature” for greater than 5 minutes the current preservative system can be rendered inactive and additional preservative is required to prevent the growth of mold, bacteria and fungus. If more than 5% additives are incorporated into the base, the current preservative system will be diluted and additional preservative will be required.
Maximum Fragrance Note: Some fragrance and essential oils may thin or thicken this base. You will want to conduct performance testing to ensure your final product performs as you desire.

Directions:
On low heat, warm base to 120º F or until it becomes liquid. Add cosmetic grade fragrance and FDA approved color additive. Pour into container. Allow to return to room temperature and apply top. Label per FDA label requirements.

COMMENTS: We have used the Crafters choice goat milk lotion for years with great success! Customers loved it! When you came out with the Paraben free version some of the reviews made me a little nervous to try it! When I finally did, let me tell you, My customers went NUTS! "Not what I was expecting "
COMMENTS: I had previously been buying the goats milk and honey lotion (regular) but I just saw this paraben free version and thought my customers would appreciate that more so I invested in a whole gallon bucket. That was a big mistake because I hadn’t tried it out first. I loved the regular lotion and I didn’t think this would be that different. The consistency is not smooth and creamy but a little lumpy, maybe porridgey. It also changed the way my scents come across. So, even though I definitely didn’t like this base, it did something wonderful for me....it got me to trust my own lotion making abilities and when I looked at the list of ingredients in the regular version vs. my own lotion I made from scratch, there was no question as to which lotion I should use. So, since I can’t send this lotion bucket back, I may donate it to our local women’s shelter and just keep practicing making my own lotions and body butters. So, even though I didn’t like this base, I’m very happy with the way things turned out. They might not have turned out that way if I had purchased what I was intending to purchase. So ultimately, I’m very happy. And I wouldn’t recommend this lotion to people who love their customers! Period!

"This is everything!"
COMMENTS: This lotion was everything I was looking for to add to my shop. With looking for things like paraben-free options, I had to give this a try. With reading some reviews, you always gotta feel worried when they get low ratings. But I didn't experience anything bad at all. Opening it straight from the container was a thick creamy consistency that was usable right out of it. Also with following the directions of melting it down to a liquid to add fragrance, I did both, completely melted and half melted. They both turned out just fine with FOs mixed in so far. The lotion on the skin absorbs quick without leaving a film on the skin and leaves it so soft. I absolutely love this for in my shop or just personal use!

"Silky lotion "
COMMENTS: This is my favorite! Takes fragrances well and easy to pour into lotion tubes. Makes skin soft and non-greasy.
COMMENTS: I am a long time user of the original formula and have been very happy with it. When using the lotion straight from the container, I noticed it was greasier than the original. It did NOT take the fragrance well and a lot of separation occurred. After packaging, I let it sit for a few days. When I opened the container, the top was hard and pasty, like a deodorant bar. I removed this, and the bottom was oily. Will not use again.

"Excellent lotion!"
COMMENTS: I'll admit, when I first opened the jar and tried a little lotion, I wasn't that impressed. It was a little hard/thick and not very creamy. It was okay but I was expecting something softer and silkier, I suppose.
I then heated up half the jar, added a fragrance, and poured into bottles. I'm not sure if it's the heating process, or if the fragrance I used thinned out the lotion, but I just tried some and had to immediately come write a review. I love it!
It was easy to dispense from my flip-top bottle and absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving it greasy. My hands are so soft! Only a very little bit of lotion is needed for a great result. I'll definitely be purchasing this again.

"Not as pleased as I thought I would be"
COMMENTS: I must say I was overjoyed and did the happy dance when I saw a paraben free version of WSP Goats Lotion. I have long time used the amazing shea aloe lotion and wonderful regular goats milk lotion but many of my customers wont purchase it because of the parabens. I have to say I am a bit underwhelmed by the new version. First off, it is thick...and I mean like cream thick and not at all loose or flowing like a lotion. Second I noticed as soon as taking the lid off that there was some seperation and condensation on the top of the lotion which I have never had happen. Third, the lotion has a wierd grainy appearance with white specks throughout when applied thinly. It took fragrance and blended well but I'm not convinced this will be anywhere near as good as the original. The seperation and graininess really concerns me. I will give it some time and see how it performs long term
