"Do not care for the scent at all."

COMMENTS: I purchased this to use in shower steamers but am very disappointed. I wouldn't mind so much that it doesn't smell like lavender, but it just does not smell good at all. I am reluctant to waste supplies making anything with it, but should probably try something in case it surprises me.

COMMENTS: I've purchased lavender fragrance oil from here before but it did not smell like this one. I realized there are two offerings. This one #91 has a baby product lavender scent rather than an essential oil lavender scent. I just purchased #14 and am hoping that is the correct one that has a true lavender scent.

COMMENTS: I dont want to be harsh but I will be. This 1000% smells like cheep dollar store lavender bathroom airfreshener that has been sprayed in the bathroom. It smells this way both out of the bottle and on the skin. Not good at all.

COMMENTS: I bought a 16 oz bottle on sale because of the high reviews but these reviews are mostly from those that do not like lavender. This does not have a sweet, floral or even camphorous lavender scent that is typical of lavender. Look elsewhere for a sophisticated, true lavender scent.

"My most popular soap"

COMMENTS: The scent attracts everyone's attention in my soaps. Alas it is the only soap I make that develops DOS. I've tried other brands and they do the same thing. Other soaps with other fragrances have lasted for years with NO PROBLEMS.

"So strong! I love it!"

COMMENTS: At first I hated the scent when I opened the bottle. Once I made the cold process soap it turned out so nice. I’m currently using that in my own shower. It has a very strong scent. It might not be exactly like lavender but it’s pretty darn good!

COMMENTS: I'm not wild about the scent. It's very... Soapy. Like, it doesn't just smell like lavender, it smells like lavender SOAP, grocery store soap. It's fine, just a bit artificial. "Smells so bad"

COMMENTS: Used in CP soap, 2 days later and soap is still too soft to unmold. Plus, this smells nothing like lavendar EO, it smells very strong and oddly floral. Like terrible gift soaps from the 1980s. I thought it would smell something like Lavender EO, but there are no similarities. It smells like terrible cheap perfume. I will not be buying this again and going to toss the rest of my 4oz bottle. Bleh.

"Pretty-But Not Exactly Lavender"

COMMENTS: This is a very pretty scent and behaved lovely in my CP soap. But it doesn't smell like true lavender to me. It was more of a floral scent and I believe the lilac undertone came through more than the lavender. I did, however, mix it with about 90% lavender EO and THAT smelled really nice! I will continue to use this mixed with my EO at about 10% of the mix.

COMMENTS: This is by far the worst smelling fragrance oil I have ordered here from Wholesale Supplies Plus. "TRUE LAVENDER"

COMMENTS: Oh how I love this lavender fragrance. I typically do not like lavender fragrances because they smell so fake and nauseating. I loved this one however. I partner this with my Lavender essential oil and have also used it alone. I love it both either way. Even after curing, the fragrance is still present. I experienced no acceleration, ricing, or seizing when using this FO. Next time, I would purchase this in a bigger bottle. It smells so genuine and relaxing. I get great results with this!

COMMENTS: I'm not personally a huge fan of the scent of this FO, but it did behave perfectly in my CP recipe, with no issues AT ALL, which is always a good thing! It just doesn't smell like a true lavender to me, and is a little more juvenile-smelling than what I was going for. I imagine this FO would go great in baby products though, as it does have a soft, gentler, powder-like aroma to it. I've invited many to come smell it & tell me what they think, and while no one has said, "That's lavender!", no one said it smelled displeasing either. In fact, I had one lady who smelled a bar of soap I made this with and got super excited, saying that it smelled just like a specialty soap she once purchased for tattoo-care. SO... I've gotten positive feedback in regards to this FO, and I love that it stayed on it's best behavior, I was just looking for a more true-to-Lavender scent. So while my search for a more realistic lavender FO continues, I'm still happy with this FO as a whole, and will definitely find ways to incorporate it into various recipes. It does blend nicely with other FO's too, and the scent has stayed excellently throughout cure, with no signs of fading or morphing, so really, it's not a bad FO in the least. I just personally didn't care for it as I was hoping for a more herbal-smelling lavender FO. That being said tho, one person's disappointment might be another's delight (as scent is so incredibly personal), so if you're looking for something more softer & floral, this might be exactly what you're looking for!

COMMENTS: I bought this fragrance after reading the reviews that out did smell like lavender. I should have read closer because most of the little who like the fragrance actually DON'T LIKE lavender. To me this fragrance smells like soap....a very clean soap...if that makes sense. I usually use lavender essential oils and lavender flowers. I purchased this because the EO is a bit extensive and I was looking for an alternative. I didn't expect it to smell EXACTLY like lavender, but this isn't even in the ball park. Not even for commercial lavender scents. I was HIGHLY disappointed! It doesn't smell BAD but it's most definitely NOT lavender.

"Great french lavender smell"

COMMENTS: Love this Fragrance Oil. No issues at all. Did not accelerate trace. Had ample time to work with my design. Has a sweeter smell than a lot of other lavenders I have tried. A little goes a long way. Blended well with Lemongrass.

"Smells Soapy - not like Lavender"

COMMENTS: This Lavender fragrance does not smell anything like lavender. Instead it has a "soapy" smell. I thought that it might be just me, so I took it to work and had several co-workers smell of it and guess what fragrance it was. One said lilac, most just looked puzzled and couldn't figure it out at all, and I got "soapy" as an answer there also. I will not be buying this fragrance again. Very disappointing.

"My new favorite scent"

COMMENTS: Let's face it, some lavender fragrances remind me of cheap public restroom cleaner, so I'm leery whenever I buy lavender fragrance oil. You'll be pleasantly surprised with this one. It has a fresh lavender fragrance with a hint of a soft vanilla note. I used 0.5 oz/lb in hot process soap with a sprinkle of purple mica and it turned out perfectly. I've also used it to make hand balm (at 3% of oils) and it turned out better than my essential oil version.

"Reminds me of a urinal cake"

COMMENTS: I wanted to love this product so much but I just can't get past the smell. My first whiff took me right to the men's bathroom where the urinal cakes reside. I kept smelling, thinking it would get better, but it didn't. My husband also confirmed the scent or urinal cake. I used mine in a batch of CP soap and it seemed to really speed up trace when compared to the unscented version of my recipe. The scent is also extremely strong, so I would recommend mixed it with another scent to cut down on this ones strength and yucky smell.

"Awful"

COMMENTS: I made the switch from a different vendor to use this Lavender and it was a big mistake, it smells awful. Unfortunately I bought a 16 oz bottle and I'm trying to figure out ways to get rid of it. It smells very cheap and not pleasant, more like a house hold cleaning product.

"Perfect lavender fragrance"

COMMENTS: I'm not one to really like lavender, but it is growing on me, the more I continue to make my goats milk CP lavender soap. In fact, it is one of my best sellers! I use this with a blend of my own, but this lavender holds true!
