Product Details

These bright blooms and leaves come from the Dog Rose. Used to provide a beautiful botanical element to products. Great for aromatic, hand blended potpourri and bath teas. Infuse in oil for use in handmade skin cleansers, soaps, lotions and creams.

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: This product provides a natural botanical element to products. It is great for aromatic, hand blended potpourri, bath tea and embellishing soap. Incorporate slowly amount desired to achieve optimal performance. When added to a formula containing water, a preservative is required. When using in lotions, salves and lip balm, infuse the petals in oil and use the infused oil in your recipe.

TIPS: Some herbs and botanicals will brown overtime when exposed to hot liquids and high pH. When testing a new recipe that contains botanicals, be sure to allow your finished product to sit for 2-4 weeks to ensure you are pleased with appearance and performance.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: Not intended for face. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

"How can I put rosebuds on top of Melt and Pour for decoration without them sinking into the base? If I wait till the base sets up a bit, then the top gets are crinkly with divets. I want to make soap with rose bud decoration to match the bath teas I made. Thanks for any suggestions."

I found the fragrance to be nice and light, but I don't think it would be strong enough to hold up as a fragrance solution for products. Maybe if used on the outside of the soap it would provide a slight fragrance, but you would have to be really close to it.

I don't use them to gain any aromatic properties. They don't give off a significant enough scent. I use them for decorative purposes only.

If used in CP soaps, the rose bud petals will turn brown over time. I have noticed some add some to the top and they seem to hold their color better. The scent of the petals does not really hold in the soap, but you can add rose fragrance oil.

The best use for these with cp would be to decorate the top. Don't depend on them for scent, especially mixed into the batter.

"Great quality red rose buds"

COMMENTS: I purchase quite a bit of dried rose buds and often they may get smashed into a powder, against the other items I order. These roses come mainly on their buds, so they seem to be protected in shipping. Most of the rose petals remain in nice, quality pieces. The color is a brighter red than other purchases have made, elsewhere.

COMMENTS: These Rose Petals are exactly what I was looking for to add to my Bath Melts, bath bombs and other projects. One or two buds in the center of the rose mold make them look great. I also plan to use the more crushed leaves in lotion bars and MP soap so there will be no wasted product. Additionally, the product size is adequate enough for several small or medium projects.

COMMENTS: I really have mixed feelings about this products. Out of the bag it is a great aroma with beautiful red buds. However when I used to top soap- like the guest soap recipe, they turned brown by the time I got ready to sell. They also really lost all 'fluff' so I dont recommend this for soap. However, I used in bath bombs and they are gorgeous and a nice touch

"Good for bath bombs"

COMMENTS: I use these in a rose bath bomb by putting them whole in the center. They look very pretty in the water and add another element of fun to the bath bomb. There are quite a few leaves and stems. Will buy again.

COMMENTS: The bag i bought from WSP had 90% rose petals and 10% buds - very good quality, no dirt, no unwanted leaves, no insects, just fresh dried red petals and buds. You get more for the price you pay. I used the petals to make rose water and an infused oil. So far i have only made a face lotion with this combination (infused oil, rose water, rose hip oil and essential oils). End result was perfect!! I gave few samples to my friends and family to try and they all loved it. I will definitely be purchasing more!

"Lovely Smelling Fragments "

COMMENTS: I was Really looking forward to getting these rose petals because of all the reviews saying there were wonderful actual rosebuds making up the mix. Some even complained that they were hoping for more petals, and were Dissapointed that they received such a high level of Buds! I also heard how wonderful the buds/petals smelled from the second you opened the bag. Well, I know this is a natural product, so everyone gets different, and your milage may vary, but I was a bit Dissapointed after the initial "Aaaahhhhh!!!" of the rose scent wafting from the bag, to see that I got pretty much just a bag, albeit quiet a large bag (especially for the price!), of petal Fragments. I wish I could trade with the customer who wanted exactly what *I* got to make her bath teas or what have you, for her bag of buds which I was going to embed into my Rosebud bath fizzies. I ran out of the ones I dried myself, and I guess I'm going to play the Rose Lottery and cross my fingers, because Honestly? For this price? I will make up some bath teas myself, and use the petal bits to garnish other bath fizzies bombs, etc. :) Seriously, I can't even be too Dissapointed, because after seeing the quality (spiderwebs, caterpillars and Bugs? No thank you!) and prices (20.00 and much more for not that large amounts!), of what other dealers have to offer, I got a great deal and a lovely product. I'll just have to pick up some more. :)

COMMENTS: The sheer volume of dried rose that I go through is ridiculous, and I am over the moon that WSP has such a fair price. Infuse it in oil, boil it into a tea, grind it into sugar scrubs, sprinkle it on top of soaps, press it into bath bombs.... the options are endless. COMMENTS: Each bag contains an amazing amount of dried buds and petals in a gorgeous pink/burgandy shade. I use them when I package up my buttermilk/Rose Kaolin Clay/ Himalayan Pink Sea Salt soap bars. I put a small layer of dried petals in the bottom of a clear (WSP) bag, add the bar of soap (wrapped in clear plastic) , a whole rosebud on top of the soap bar, then another small layer of rose petals- tie with pink silk ribbon and add a handmade tag- spectacular ! I've used 2 1/2 bags of these rose petals and will soon order more.

"Perfect for Bath Tea Gifts"

COMMENTS: I am new to the world of body and bath products and decided to begin my journey with bath salts and bath teas to give as Christmas gifts this year. I ordered these rose buds because of reviews left by other WSP customers and I am so VERY glad I did - they are perfectly lovely in both appearance and aroma, very colorful and fragrant. I am on a very small budget as well and the price was incredible. I ordered the 2oz bag, but got far more than I expected and know I am going to find lots of ways to use these now and in the future. Thank you to all the reviewers who helped steer this newbie in the right direction and to WSP for providing quality products at an affordable price.

	"Mix of Buds and Leaves and stems"
COMMENTS: I bought this without thinking (my mistake) . . . I intended to get rose petals, but as the title indicates, there were leaves mixed in. There were a lot of stems also. I went ahead and picked out the petals and there were enough to use with my soap. I pulvarized a few of the petals to mix into the soap, then sprinkled some whole petals on top. With this mix, you do get some buds, so I topped each bar of soap with a rosebud in the middle. It turned out great. It is still beautiful, but next time I will buy only petals (or buds) and I won't steep them before adding the lye.

COMMENTS: I was surprised at the strong wonderful scent from these. Also the quality of this mix was great...not a lot of stems. So far, I've made some soap with these and bath fizzies. "Lovely Rose Buds & Petals"

COMMENTS: Beautiful aroma and attractive buds. I don't care much for rose fragrance oils, but the natural botanical is nice to my nose. No category for bath teas, sachets or potpourri, but that so far has been my primary uses. Very dense. 2 ounce equals about 2 cups so you get a lot. I tried in M&P soap, oh no. The petals and buds turn black. Experimenting is fun so I used the test bar on myself.

"Beautiful buds"

COMMENTS: This was quite a surprise. It is so much prettier than it looks online. The buds are small enough to use on the top of soaps and there is a lovely rose fragrance. The smallest size avaiable is still large enough to use on many soap batches. Will definitely order again!

COMMENTS: The quality of the roses is excellent. It is mostly whole rose buds not a bunch of crumbled pieces. Will definitely continue to purchase these from WSP. The 1 pound bag goes a very long way! I made over 1100 bath bombs and only used half the bag!
