"I have added this to a salve that I make while the salve is in liquid form. After I pour the salve, it seems like the oil is sinking to the bottom as it cools and the scent goes away. Do you know how I can prevent this from happening? The salve is 2 oz, made with bees wax, Shea butter, olive oil pomace, and jojoba, I vigorously whisk the oil into the heated liquid. "

"Smells like eucalyptus "

COMMENTS: This is the first time I’ve purchased Rosemary so I’m not sure how many stars it deserves. To me it smells exactly like eucalyptus. I made some activated charcoal soap with it and I feel like my customers are going to say the same when they smell it. I was expecting it to have that wonderful sweet herbal scent like opening a jar of rosemary but it doesn’t. If there’s something I could blend with it I would do that but it’s very overpowering

COMMENTS: Behaved in cold process soap. Very nice smell even after curing. I use this item and Tea Tree EO in my acne bars. It works well for acne. I do make normal bars but I use a lower amount of the Rosemary EO for those. I will be keeping this item in stock.

"Too much camphor smell"

COMMENTS: This was my first time purchasing Rosemary EO from WSP. I have to say I was disappointed. There was a very strong camphor smell that made it smell barely rosemary. I tried blending it with other EO and the camphor still came through. This is my first bad experience with a WSP product. I still love them as a company.

"Rosemary EO 5 star!"

COMMENTS: The rosemary EO is awesome in my cold processed soap. It did not cause it to trace fast nor did it color the soap. I use unrefined coconut oil, I know for me, this did make a difference in how my soaps traced. Will be buying this again this winter. I also mixed this with eucalyptus.

	"Smells awful"
COMMENTS: I've been using pure rosemary essential oil in my cold process soap for years. It's my favorite essential oil. This is the first time I've purchased it from WSP. When the package arrived yesterday, I was so disappointed. It smells a little bit like rosemary essential oil, but it also has another very strong, overpowering element to the scent that is really awful. I was actually revolted by it. I will not be able to use this in my soaps or any of my other products, so it is a complete waste. I saw that it has good reviews otherwise, so must be a bad batch because I've never smelled rosemary like this. I usually have very good luck with WSP.

COMMENTS: I'm actually more than a little surprised at this EO. Coming from a soap supply location, I expected it to smell much more camphor like. As an Aromatherapist, I've tested plenty of Rosemary as it's one of my favorites to work with. The dry down on this EO is just as pleasant as many of the much more expensive brands. Thank you for providing a quality product.

"Not at all what I expected"

COMMENTS: I suppose this is my own fault for not doing enough research, but apparently Rosemary EO's are hard to create. This one is way off the mark. It has a really, really strong medicinal smell and the only green part of it smells like wet hay. It's unusable for anything I had planned for it.

WSP Response:

Our 100% Pure Rosemary Essential Oil is a steam distilled from the actual rosemary. When compared to other rosemary oils on the market that has been enhanced with fragrance oils it can have a more natural medicinal aroma.

	"What Type is This???"
COMMENTS: This rosemary e.o. is not exactly what I was looking for. It is a little stronger on the camphor scale than I prefer, but I use it in cold-process soap and it seems to lighten up a bit after a cure. I have purchased others elsewhere that smelled more like fresh-picked/dried rosemary, which I thoroughly enjoyed it. This one is fine, but I wouldn't use it in aromatherapy applications. I wish WSP would list what type of rosemary this is...

COMMENTS: I always love the clean scent of rosemary, and WSP Rosemary EO is an excellent deal. I used it in MP and hot process soap. I had to use twice as much in my hot process soap than I would normally use of any other EO for the same size batch to bring out the scent. However, it's totally worth it because the results are a beautifully fresh smelling soap.

COMMENTS: I have used essential oils for years (way before it was a fad), and this rosemary just didn't smell like the rosemary essential oils that I was used to. COMMENTS: I have a few customers that swear they don't like Rosemary EO. Why? Because most people overdo it. It's a fine line between smelling "clean" (most used customer description) and medicinal. Use sparingly. The scent itself is awesome...when executed correctly. This is used in at least one product of every type that I make due to it's therapeutic value.

COMMENTS: Ok, obscure horror movie reference aside, I could not run my business without this essential oil. It's priced lower at WSP than anywhere else I've found, and it goes with everything. Yes, everything! I tested this theory by jamming my hand into my scent box and blindly picking out vanilla. I'd promised myself that I would blend rosemary with whatever came out. My best-selling Rosemary Vanilla soap was born. In fact, I've come up with several scent blends in my years of soaping, and the ones with rosemary always end up being big sellers! Please don't ever discontinue this one...

COMMENTS: One of the great qualities of Rosemary is that it can be blended with many other EO's, it's affordable and has medicinal properties. You can sweeten it up a bit, I think it's too strong to use with Lavandin...but Lavender and Rosemary is quite nice. This oils is also great to add to oil burners...throws beautifully.
