"i used a fresh bottle of Sandalwood fragrance oil and mixed in some fresh Bourbon Vanilla with it. the oils and fats i used were fresh this Fall. i use goats' milk - frozen - and add the lye very, very slowly over 15 minutes or more. the soaps, after cutting and aging for approx. 5 weeks, developed little brown specks - like measles - i'm sure i stirred the fragrances in very well - whassup? "

"Weak"

COMMENTS: After cure the scent was weak and I used a very high percentage in my cp soap. It's just not earthy enough. Not bad scent just weak. First time I haven't been satisfied with a WSP product. But all of our noses are different.

"Sandalwood: Warm & Inviting"

COMMENTS: This fragrance is a true Sandalwood. You can smell hints of rich mahogany, woody aromas, as well as patchouli. It's lush, rich romantic, and comforting. One could really get lost in this fragrance! If you haven't tried Sandalwood, you and your customers are missing out!!

"Excellent - easy to work with"

COMMENTS: I've been using this fragrance for years in a soap I call Good Karma, which is a blend of 75% this fragrance and 25% folded orange essential oil. I've never had an issue with it misbehaving in cold process soap (I soap at about 90 degrees). Just a solid strong sandalwood, that is much better than paying for an expensive essential oil that is also an endangered plant from being over-harvested. Never had an issue with it fading. Just recently did a custom lotion in this same scent.

	"Wonderful in para-soy wax tarts"
COMMENTS: I've been working on creating a dupe for the Scentsationals brand of Zen wax tarts. It's the spearmint & eucalyptus scents in Zen that make this so unique. If you go their site you can read what all the fragrance notes are. By combining Incense & Oud FO with Sandalwood EO/FO, Oakmoss Sandalwood EO/FO, Frosted Eucalyptus FO this is dead spot on. The plus here is you can also drop the Frosted Eucalyptus FO if you would prefer. I might do that in the winter, but right now for the hotter temps in Florida, I'm lovin' this full bodied chilly scent throughout the house. Thank-you WSP for always being here to help keep our creative juices flowing!

COMMENTS: This is a great scent that holds very well. I have used this twice in CP soap and both times it seized almost immediately after adding to the oils. I tried at the beginning and at the start of trace. I would definitely do only hot process with this. It is pretty exothermic when added to recommended strength. I used 2oz for a 36oz batch of oils and it is plenty strong enough. It is a really good scent though and I will keep using it for sure!

COMMENTS: This smells soooo good! It could be used on its own for sure, but smells amazing with English Tea Rose!!! If you like the smell of wood, you’ll love this! I haven’t used it in CP soap so I can’t say wether it fades or not. I did use it in HP (since it seems to me the rustic look goes better with this fragrance), and it smells strong but not overpowering. It did not discolor the soap (so far).

COMMENTS: This scent is GORGEOUS. It has a wonderful, soft overtone, but has lovely cedar-y undertones that linger but aren't in any way overpowering. I just washed off the equipment from a batch of CP and I can't stop sniffing my hands. My son requested this sandalwood batch and I think he'll love it, but I know my daughters will be happy to use it, as well. New favorite!

COMMENTS: While I’ve never smelled true Sandalwood EO (just too expensive) this FO smelled to me like the real thing - it smells like a real wood oil (although it could be cedar or such since I’m not real familiar with actual sandalwood, I’ve only ever used blended FOs) and it has none of the chemical or perfume notes that FOs often have. I will be using this one again. I blended it with WSPs Bourboned Tobacco and really love it, and it behaved very well in CP soap.

"I love this!!"

COMMENTS: I am one of those people that love earthy scents!! This is one of the truest sandalwood fragrances that I have found! Sandalwood is a soft fragrance and needs to be anchored (in my humble opinion)& I have to use at the maximum amount if not close to it. It did not accelerate nor did it change the color of the soap (CP). This fragrance oil is one the staple fragrances that I keep on hand.

"Authentic & beautiful!"

COMMENTS: Other than the fact that pure Indian Sandalwood EO is exponentially expensive, it's something I wouldn't purchase regardless due to its environmental impacts. That being said though, I have ALWAYS loved the smell of Indian Sandalwood and have been disappointed with quite a few Sandalwood FO's in the past. Just something about them always seemed flat & never truly captured the full-bodied aroma of a true Sandalwood. I put off purchasing WSP's Sandalwood for awhile for that very reason... Thought I'd be disappointed again. I'm happy to say however that I couldn't have been more wrong! This FO is gorgeous & I'm kicking myself for not purchasing it sooner & only buying the little bottle! This FO captures the full-bodied, woody, deep & rich aroma of a true Indian Sandalwood better than ANYTHING I've ever smelled before!! It's EXCELLENT, and behaved perfectly in my CP recipe! At 1oz/PPO the scent is strong and pure, and I couldn't ask for a better Sandalwood FO! The batch I made seems to wanna stay in the mold a little longer than usual, but I'm totally ok with that... It's well worth the wait, and something I could probably easily remedy with a water discount in the future. All in all, I'm EXTREMELY pleased with this FO & wholeheartedly recommed it! Now that I've tried the 2oz bottle, I WILL be coming back for bigger! Thank you WSP!

"I have tested SO many Sandalwood Fo's"

COMMENTS: I had so many requests for Sandalwood I knew I needed to add it to my line and so began the hunt. I tested 8 different Sandalwoods and WSP was at the top of the list. I make wax melts only so Im always looking for a good throw. There is just something about it that keeps me going back for sniffs. I think it reminds me of Cedarwood. Im very anxious to start mixing this with other scents but right now I made it a stand alone scent. Love it!

COMMENTS: I really loved this scent, I made my first batch of cold process soap, it behaved wonderful for me, obviously Im green in dealing with F.O. but I had no ricing or aceleration. The smell out of bottle was very very strong, I was a little concerned, but I have read alot of reviews from ppl, and someone said to get a true scent of something, put a small drop on a paper towel and walk away for a few hours, then come back and smell it, that is what I did and I actually kept it in a plastic bag for a couple days and OMG it smells sooo good, I can see men liking this one as it does resemble a cologne, but its musky and sensual enough for a woman too, if you like sandalwood products. I will be making a lotion bar today to go with my soap. The scent has help up very well in the soap so far, it still has to cure for 4 weeks but my room still smells like sandalwood (which I love )

"Behavior in CP"

"Almost true to Sandalwood"

COMMENTS: This fragrance is no frills which is great if you are looking for a sandalwood fragrance that you can blend with other fragrances to make it your own. I personally use this fragrance with just a touch of WSP sandalwood incense fragrance oil which I feel brings the scent even closer to real sandalwood (I have a 1/2 oz bottle of sandalwood essential oil that I used to compare my blend to). I have customers who purchase soap made with my blend on a regular basis. I'll always be sure to keep this is stock. For cold process soap makers: This fragrance oil is slow so you have plenty of time to work. It's so slow however, that you may experience some soda ash on the surface of your soap after you cut it, and not just the top. It's been my experience that this occurs when fragrances are extremely slow to thicken up.

COMMENTS: We have used this sandalwood fragrance to create an AMAZING bath bomb. It has been described by one customer as "warm blankets and happiness". One customer was "super confused by how amazing this bath bomb is. Is this even legal?" We're not sure either but it does smell great! "An Irresistible Classic"

COMMENTS: Sandalwood is a classic soap fragrance and by far one of my own favorites. I've used this in MP Oatmeal and white soaps and adore it. It's masculine enough that men love it - I've given several bars to friends and when allowing men to choose, they often go for this fragrance. (I make my husband's soap with sandalwood scent.) I also gave some to my doctor, who is from India; she immediately beamed and said it reminded her of home, as it is a popular scent used in Indian products.
