COMMENTS: I had never heard of Sal Butter before I came across it here. I did some research on it and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. This butter is a wonderful addition to my lotions, creams, and lotion bars. It adds a nice element to the skin feel and the texture of my products. It has become a staple in a few of my formulas. It is easy to incorporate and adds a lot of benefits to creams and lotions.
• Great price for the quality. • Easy to work with. • Added benefits to formulas.
• It's a little grainy. • Not suitable for coldprocessing.

"Spendy but nice"
COMMENTS: This is my first time using Sal butter so I don’t have others to compare it with, but i like it. It’s a bit softer than I was expecting since it’s considered a harder butter, it’s the same firmness as shea. But it made a nice lotion bar when combined with cocoa butter, but it’ll need a tube next time since it melts pretty quick for a bar in a tin. It absorbed nicely and I like having some variety in my products, but if I buy it again I will probably shop for a better price.
COMMENTS: First time trying this butter and I love it! It is smoothe and really rich.

"Excellent butter!"
COMMENTS: I love this butter, it's not as greasy as shea, but similar in texture. It's kind of like a cross between mango and shea. It is a fantastic addition to body butter, I add about 5-8% to my base. Like mango and shea, it doesn't have to be melted to whip, just slightly warmed. I am okay with the packaging, as I prefer bags to jars. The only thing that I would change is the type of bag. The reason that I would change the bag is, in order to get the little bits that are left behind, I cut the sides of the bag and scrape the inside. With a non gusseted bag, it is much easier to do this. I don't prefer jars because scraping the butter out of the indents and off of the lid can be a pain, and it tends to increase the price. So I am very happy that WSP uses bags and I hope that they continue to package butters this way!
I will definitely order more!

"Love this for lotion bars!"
COMMENTS: This has been my favorite butter to use in lotion bars thus far. Makes the bars hard, but not brittle, melts fine on skin contact but holds its shape, creamy feel when applied, but not too "cakey". I recommend trying this butter out.

"Awesome Butter!!"
COMMENTS: I wanted to try a hard butter that dries on the skin quickly because I usually use shea butter, which u enjoy but it takes awhile to soak into the skin and isn't a hard butter. I read the reviews of the Shorea and thought it sounded like something I would love. I was not wrong! WSP send it in a nice crafters choice reloadable bag which I enjoy, I do wish it could be in a container of some sort because it's hard to get the butter out of the bottom of the bag but no biggie. The price is really amazing, wsp has some of the best prices I've seen and I've visited a LOT of supply sites. The butter is nice and hard so it can be used in place of cocoa butter, and it just soaks so nicely into the skin instead of sitting on top. I could use it just alone but it works amazing combined with other ingredients in my body butter and lotion recipes. I want to try and see if I can crumble it and add to my bath soaks next! Thank WSP for offering so many butter options because I couldn't find Sal butter anywhere else for this price.

"Won't be without this butter"
COMMENTS: I use this in my body butters,& lotion bars. This is the first time I've bought it from WSP. I'm glad I did. The price is very reasonable. It is a must have when making body butter & lotion bars for the farmers market here. The summer is hot & humidity here & the melting point for this butter is higher than cocoa butter, plus this doesn't have a smell. No problem using fragrance oil with it. Cocoa butter has a strong chocolate smell & can overpower scents. Very pleased
COMMENTS: This was my first time using this butter but I found it very easy to work with. This is a somewhat soft butter, not nearly as hard as cocoa butter and not as sticky as shea or mango. I need to learn more about this to market it more effectively but it helped to make a very luxurious butter.

"Used in body whip and emulsified sugar scrub"
COMMENTS: I used this product in a recipe for body whip that I found on this website, and also for an emulsified sugar scrub with a recipe I found on this site. I split the batches and created different scents, and the whip holds the scent and clings to the skin all day. The recipe leaves the skin soft but not greasy. The sugar scrub has not separated and holds color well. This butter melted easily and quickly!
COMMENTS: I had never heard of this butter before but decided to try it because of the description and the other reviews. I am sooooo glad I did. It has easily become one of my favorites. I love the moisture it provides without the greasiness and it seems to absorb almost immediately. I will always keep this on hand right along with my shea butter.

"Amazing Butter"
COMMENTS: I really love this butter as a replacement for Shea butter in my lip balms. The only thing I would caution against is heating the butter too quickly because it will turn grainy in your lip balms. I made that mistake the first round but am going to try again without being too hasty to heat it up. Otherwise, this is a really hard butter and will firm up your lip balms, but it's really smooth once it's in contact with your skin and melts right in.

"Excellent product"
COMMENTS: I started using Sal butter in my lotion bars and lotions instead of Mango Butter, as it is less grainy and I found that some of my customers are allergic to Mango Butter. The Sal butter is really nice for rough skin, and it makes nice thick creams and add structure to lotion bars. Good product. I has almost no odor, and the little it has is pleasant. Good price.
COMMENTS: I had never heard of shorea butter before I noticed it on WSP. I was ordering some lotion bar supplies during a sale a few months ago, and most of the butters I intended to buy were sold out. I thought I'd give shorea a try, since it was well priced and had good reviews. I am so glad I tried it! This has become my favorite butter. The lotion bars I have made with it have the best texture of any bars I've made. They are smooth and silky and glide on so easily -- even on cold hands! One of the problems I was having with my bars is that they work well if your hands are warm or if they have been stored in a slightly warm place. This was an issue in Minnesota during the winter. I was hesitant to change my formula, because I didn't want my bars to be too soft or not hold up in warm weather. My shorea bars are totally solid, yet work fantastically well regardless of temperature.
This butter has no scent, a very light neutral color, and is soft enough to easily break into chunks to measure. I would HIGHLY recommend trying this butter. I will use it again and again in the future.

"Amazing stuff :)"
COMMENTS: Love the hardness and glide it gives to my lotion bar. Beautiful color, and feels moisturizing without feeling "sticky." It's a must-have for my items!
COMMENTS: I will use this butter in other products as I progress but I REALLY liked what it did for my lotion bars. With the triglyceride content, this is such a moisturizer and adds a firmness to the product. The light color and scent are not issues in the product so that's a plus.
