Our Premium Shave & Shampoo Melt and Pour Soap Base has a creamy lather that is ideal for shave and shampoo needs. It is fortified with Pure Argan Oil, Silk Protein and Honey Protein, which are thought to pamper while helping with moisture and shine. Extracts include Calendula Flower, Aloe, Carrageenan and Sunflower. This base is naturally cloudy with no added pigments and is somewhat transparent. The two-pound tray is the perfect size container for projects making (8) 4 oz. bars of soap. The lid allows for unused soap to easily be stored for future use.
This product is not on the CA Prop 65 list of toxic chemicals.
This product conforms to the reporting requirements of California Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) and are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

COMMENTS: I was curious about this base, and I´m super surprised! It was weird using a bar as shampoo, but it really worked! I couldn´t tell if it made my hair dry, because I am a bottle blonde lol, but it got all the styling crap out like a regular shampoo. My husband is using it as a beard shampoo, and he likes it as well!

"Better than commercial shampoos"
COMMENTS: I love this base. Since I’ve started making my own shampoo bars, my hair is literally squeaky clean. It doesn’t get oily like it usually does and in this heat, that’s saying a lot. I was introduced to it when I picked up the peppermint and rosemary shampoo bar kit and I swear I’ll not use commercially made shampoo anymore. I even bought another tray to make sure when my family and friends have used theirs up I can whip up another batch quickly. You won’t be disappointed.

"Boy was I surprised!"
COMMENTS: I can't say enough about this product. I was a bit skeptical when I first purchased this, as there is a lot of controversy around shampoo bars. I decided to try it, and I was AMAZED! My hair literally squeaked it was so clean, but what really impressed me, was how soft and shinny it was. Totally removed all of the build up in my hair. Gave a small bar to my "trial group" and they want MORE! I'm using it once a week and it's been great! I also tried it in a shave bar! I've had nothing but outstanding reviews. You have to work it a minute to get a lather, but then it's an amazing shaving product. My step son has terrible trouble with his skin and this left it soft and not irritated at all. He took home 3 bars! Just great product! Can't wait to introduce it this fall craft season!

"All Time Favorite "
COMMENTS: Original purchased this base so I could add essential oils for my thinning hair. Plus it got rid of the plastic bottles polluting Mother Earth.
Have a man who deals with ingrown hairs on his scalp and face. He buys the expensive bottled shampoo with tea tree oil and has found this helps his issue. So I’ve made him up a batch of the MP for 6 bars. In separate cup I blended 1 tablespoon unrefined organic coconut oil (softened), 15 drops lavender and 45 drops tea tree essential oil (all great for ingrown hair and antibacterial. Than added mica for color and blended it into the already melted MP. Now he can save $$$, improve his health and help take care of Mother Earth.

COMMENTS: I have made about 4 men shave soap bars from this and the absolutely love this. It is not as creamy as tradition shaving cream but they love the scents they pick out and the feel of their face after they shave. "Perfect All in One Bar!"
COMMENTS: I was buying expensive Shampoo Bars online and after a while I just couldn't justify how much we were spending for bars we didn't absolutely love. COMMENTS: My daughter was having issues with the commercial shampoos and with her hair being on the longer side and very curly I was a bit leery of trying a shampoo bar. I am so glad I took a chance on this soap base, we all love it! The base is easy to work with and leave our hair really clean and snarl free. Came back the next day and bought more.

"Good shave and shampoo base"
COMMENTS: Used it for a eucalyptus and tea tree shampoo bar. It lathered very well for a shampoo. I also used it as a base for shaving soap. It lathered better then another shaving base I was already using.

"Great Soap"
COMMENTS: I purchased this especially for my boss' birthday. At the time he was a smoker and I wanted to make him something really nice w/lemon grass fragrance. He loved the soap, the smell camouflaged the cigarette smell and his wife loved the fact that the entire floor of house where the bathroom is smelled like lemons. So I will re-up on this one. It was a great choice on my part. kudos!

"Squeaky Clean"
COMMENTS: My customers rave about how clean their hair is after using the bar. It gets rid of oily build up leaving hair fresh and clean. I do recommend to my customers though that they use a cream conditioner after washing just to help soften and detangle. Its a keeper!

COMMENTS: I love detergent free soaps, this clear soap is perfect for scrubs, and all types of soap. It is my go to product, in fact it is the base of my scrubs!
COMMENTS: Purchased this to make a mens shave soap, it came out nice, had to add a lathering agent to get it to lather more for a mens shave soap. Finished product is being tested by a client. Will let you know. It does look & smell great.

COMMENTS: I am still waiting on my own customer feedback on this base. I use it myself as a shampoo, face wash, and shave soap and I really like it. It makes my hair squeaky clean, which I love! I wouldn't mind a little more lather, but I add sweet almond and avocado oils to mine personal bars, which probably reduces the lather.

"Lather is perfect.... "
COMMENTS: I love the lather of this base. It makes a terrific shampoo and shaving bar that hold up well, doesn't melt fast as long as you don't leave it sitting in water. My customers love the products I make in this base.
COMMENTS: I've used this base in several different projects now and have received rave reviews all the way down the line. Both men and women love it as it not only provides that wonderful silky slide for shaving, but moisturizes as well. It works great with both masculine and feminine fragrances. My hottest seller is a Ladie's Grooming Soap in a fragrance mix I call Pure Innocence. They said it leaves them feeling very pampered.
