Q&A

Hello, your website says the INCI is TBD - can you provide the INCI - does this have a preservative included?
Sorbitol is natural and a mixture 70% Sorbitol and 30% water. International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI): Sorbitol Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved): Sorbitol
Does anyone know if I add natural ingredients like shea butter, honey, castor oil, and sugar, to the M&P bases, if this will shorten the expiration date for the soaps? Should I put a best used by and then 6 months after it was made? Thank you.
I do not advise you to add additional butters or oils to the bases, it can decrease lather. On our website we carry Shea butter MP soap and Honey Mp soap.
I just want to clarify that adding sorbitol to my M&P soaps is not a good idea? I was going to add it to the recipe to boost the lather. I realized reading the q&a's that sorbitol is already in all the bases? I've also been using sugar, honey, and castor oil to boost lather and I think it's working. I also know you guys have Bubble up? Would this be better to use in the soaps than the natural ingredients?
I do not advise you to use additional sorbitol in your soap, our bases contain sorbitol, if you add more it can soften your bar. You can use bubble up in melt n pour bases, it will produce extra bubbles in your soap. What I advise is to test a small batch of soap with bubble to see if the soap produces the bubbles that you like before removing the ingredients from your soap.
What is the pH range of Sorbitol 70/30 liquid ingredient
The PH range is 6.0
Hi. I was wondering what the usage rate is for cold process soap?
We have not tested this in this application. If you choose to do so, start at a very low percentage and test in small batch.
