Product Details

Clear orange powder color dispersed in mp soap base. This color will bleed or migrate in layered melt and pour soap bases. One bar is six cubes. One cube colors approximately five pounds of mp soap (depending on desired shade).

Performance Results:
Color Fading: This dye is light sensitive. A UV Inhibitor has been added to the liquid dye to help prevent fading in soaps and lotions. It appears that this has limited effectiveness in cp soap due to the high pH of the saponification process.
Color Migration: If product design has layered colors, this dye will migrate or “bleed” between layers.

Storage: Room temperature. Air tight container.
Best Used By: One year from date of purchase.
Shelf Life Once Used in Manufacturing: One year from manufacturing date.

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Cut desired amount from the color bar and melt into warm soap base at 130-140º F. To color your product, start with small amount of color and increase as desired. Adding this color to white soap will produce a pastel colored bar. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a stained glass clear colored bar.

TIPS: Using too much color may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: Approved for melt and pour soap making only. Not approved for use with general cosmetics, eye and lip products. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

	"Could have been better"
COMMENTS: I noticed when I used this color block, it did not melt well in my MP soap. It was also not very strong in color in my soap. I had to use a full block for a pound of soap for color payoff. For me, that's unusual. I typically use a few shards of the block to color a pound of soap.

"LOVE this color bar!"

COMMENTS: In the past I have used other color bars and while they do mix well in the soap I often have to use much more than I would if I had used liquid color. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that this shade of orange colored my soap using far less than I expected! My soap turned to a lovely creamy pastel orange perfect for my peaches and cream scented batch in just a small shaving of color bar! I will definitely be buying more... Much more!

"Easier than powder colors"

COMMENTS: I got this as part of a sample pack, and have been very pleased with all the colors. Although the product description says it bleeds, I haven't noticed it in any of the colors yet. It does melt better in clear bases than white bases.

COMMENTS: As with yellow, I may not make many soaps that come out an orange hue, but in color blending it's easier than adding both red and yellow to something, and performs as well as any other color bar. Always great to have around no matter what hues you typically work with.
