Product Details

Clear blue powder color dispersed in mp soap base. This color will bleed or migrate in layered melt and pour soap bases. One bar is six cubes. One cube colors approximately five pounds of mp soap (depending on desired shade).

Performance Results:
Color Fading: This dye is light sensitive. A UV Inhibitor has been added to the liquid dye to help prevent fading in soaps and lotions. It appears that this has limited effectiveness in cp soap due to the high pH of the saponification process.
Color Migration: If product design has layered colors, this dye will migrate or “bleed” between layers.

Storage: Room temperature. Air tight container.
Best Used By: One year from date of purchase.
Shelf Life Once Used in Manufacturing: One year from manufacturing date.

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Cut desired amount from the color bar and melt into warm soap base at 130-140º F. To color your product, start with small amount of color and increase as desired. Adding this color to white soap will produce a pastel colored bar. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a stained glass clear colored bar.

TIPS: Using too much color may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: Approved for melt and pour soap making only. Not approved for use with general cosmetics, eye and lip products. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

"True to its name!"

COMMENTS: I LOVE this color. I used it in m&p soap with a lighthouse mold and a Salty Mariner fragrance and it truly reminded me of the east coast when we would go to the beach. This is especially beautiful with the stained glass color. Will definitely get again as this was my first try at color cubes.

"Stained Glass Ocean Blue"

COMMENTS: This is beautiful. Please try the Cobalt Blue as well. Easy to melt and blend. Either clear or opaque soaps, just goreous blue. COMMENTS: I used this with melt and pour soap and added it to soap that was fluid at about 100 degrees. As it takes a bit of time for the color to melt and see where you are at with the shade, you need a bit of patience to get the most out of it. At times I needed to get my base hotter so I could get my colors coordinated to work with multiple colors. However these are convenient and easy to store and I would purchase again.

"1 cube = 5 pounds!"

COMMENTS: I received this one as part of a sample pack and after my first use, I decided to go back and order a full bar of this one. I thought it was an exaggeration that one cube was enough for 5 pounds of soap but it isn't. I used 0.1 ounces of this (1/5 of a cube) for one pound of white goat's milk M&P and was very impressed with the color. A nice pale baby blue when used with the opaque soap. I have used powders and liquid dyes before, but I'm sticking with these bars from now on!

"Beautiful blue!"

COMMENTS: I had a order for 35 "gift bags" and one of the items I included was a body spray made out of the "Dancing Water" fragrance oil. I wanted my fragrance spray to be blue, I then remembered I had received this as a bonus. I warmed the spray up to about 100* then added a small amount of the color and it is such a beautiful shade of blue! I will be using this again!

"Royal, vivid blue."
