This lotion will soak into your skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth for hours. Hemp seed butter is considered one of the "driest" natural oils as it absorbs quickly into the skin. Provides excellent lubricity without being greasy.

Step 1

Place 48 oz. of water into a large bowl and set aside.

Step 2

In microwave-safe measuring cup, add Hemp Seed Oil, Hemp Butter, Emulsifying Wax and Stearic Acid. Heat in microwave until stearic and wax are completely melted.

Step 3

Heat water in microwave for 2 minutes. Slowly pour water into the warm oil/butter mixture. Product will immediately turn a whitish color.

Step 4

Using a stick blender or hand mixer, begin to blend. Continue until mixture starts to thicken.

Step 5

Add vitamin E and fragrance oil. Continue blending.

Step 6

Check temperature to be sure lotion is under 176° F. Add preservative and blend until all ingredients are well incorporated. Lotion may be thin but will thicken once it cools.

Step 7

Pour lotion into bottles and let completely cool. Trim dip tubes before inserting into bottles.

Step 8

Label product accordingly.

To Use: Apply to dry skin as needed.
