"It smells similar to lemon eucalyptus."

Happy Scent

"I bought this on a whim, having never heard of Litsea Cubeba, much less smelled it. The price was right, and it sounded interesting, so I thought I'd try it. I'm glad I did, because I love it. It smells sweet and lemony, and it just a very happy scent. It came through very nicely in my lotion bars. I also did some with a Litsea Cubeba and Blood Orange blend, and those smell great too."

Litsea Cubeba EO

"I absolutely love the fresh citrus fragrance of this essential oil. I used it in my kitchen coffee soap when I ran out of lemongrass. I use it now instead of the lemongrass. It's a favorite request amongst family and friends."

Herbal fruit

"I took a leap of faith on this scent and now I love it! I love the herbal tones that Litsea offers with a nice fruity back note. I add this to my fruity lotions and soaps for a fixative for other fruit scents. My customers love it!"

Jesse (5/5)

Awesome, love it. . . but didn't at first LOL

"When I first got this I wasn't sure about it, it smelled weird to me. But, after making a batch of CP soap with it, I realized it actually has a very unique scent and made one beautiful bar of soap! I did further research on it, and have found that it has some amazingly beneficial attributes for oily and other troubled skin conditions. It behaved perfectly in my CP soap and turned out to be a great seller. I make most of my soaps with a 100% coconut milk lye solution, and this turned out great. . . did a nice tumeric powder swirl which looked lovely :-)"

Kendra (5/5)

Great scent

"I use this a lot when trying to achieve a lemon scented soap. The scent last much longer compared to regular lemon essential oil."

Joan (5/5)

lemony

"this is a nice scent. be careful though--it's very strong! makes wonderful blends."

Britt (5/5)

Didnt expext WSP to carry this EO but they do!

"i love the scent of this EO, and had been looking everywhere for for a good price on the stuff. its smells like the citrus section of a farmers market, and is super stong. This EO is also known as May Chang, so you might be more familiar with that name. If you arent, and if you love citrus-y scents, than this is totally the EO you need to try."

Katy (5/5)

perfect for blending!

"I blended this with lavender and sold out within an hour of it being made! Same with batches 2 and 3!"

Q&A

You list 2 different amount of safe usage in lotions. Which is correct? Also, how much is allowed in deodorant? Thanks!
You can use our Fragrance Calculator to help determine how much of this FO to use in particular applications. https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/calculators/fragrancecalculator.aspx
I usually use about 2 oz. of essential or fragrance oil in my batches of soap. How much of this do you think I should add (in addition to the normal 2 oz I use) to anchor a citrus scent as some people have suggested doing in their reviews? Thanks for your help.
If you're using 2 oz of fragrance oil (which is about 60 ml), adding 0.1 oz to 0.2 oz of Litsea Cubeba will give you a nice balance.
How much of this may I safely use in 16 ounces of pink salt.?
This essential oil has a lower IFRA rating. Since you are soaking in a bath with the EO, we do recommend the lowest percent which is 0.20%. For 16 oz. of bath salts, you would add .032 oz. of essential oil.
I am confused by conflicting answers to the questions about essential oils. One sections says that your oils are 100% pure and used by aromatherapists like myself and another says that your oils are only cosmetic grade-which would indicate that they may be adulterated for scent purposes and not useful for aromatherapy.I make soap but also make custom balms and blends for people. Also, can you provide batch specific GC/MS reports for your essential oils?Thank you!
Our essentials oils are 100% pure and not cut or diluted to reduce costs. There is no governmental agency or generally recognized organization that oversees the term "therapeutic grade essential oils" so the definition of the phrase is open to marketing hype. Our Essential Oils can be used for all of your needs including but not limited to soap, balms and blends. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE GC/MS REPORTS****
The IFRA lists that this product should not be used in deodorant. Several reviewers stated they had great results in deodorant. I would not want to use it unless it was safe. Does any one have any information regarding Litsea's safety in deodorant?
The IFRA guidelines MUST be followed above all else. Customers who chose to ignore these guidelines are legally liable should a customer have a bad reaction.
