Details

For melt and pour soap, pour at no hotter than 135°F, cool until hardened, then unmold—freezing briefly and dipping the mold bottom in warm water if needed. For cold process soap, lightly coat the mold with cooking spray, pour at trace, unmold after 24 hours, and cure 4–8 weeks; add sodium lactate if your recipe stays soft. For lotion bars, pour melted mixture (no hotter than 135°F), allow to solidify, then press the back of the mold to release. Wash molds in warm, soapy water and avoid dishwashers to prevent warping.

Can't get the soap out of the mold

"I thought it looked cool. Purchased 2. Made the soap and I'm unable to get the soap out of the mold. I was wondering if it would be difficult because it's a hard plastic mold. . I was right. The last thing I tried is to put the finished bars in the freezer hoping the soap would just slide out. Since there's no way to get air into the mold pressing on it pushed out the soap but when you stop pushing, the bars are sucked back into the mold. If anyone has a better idea, please share."

Q&A

The recipe says to pour the soap into the 4 cavities. Is this a single mold or a 4 part mold?: The mold tray contains 4 cavities of the same mold.
Does this mold release easily when using CP soap?: Most plastics molds are harder to unmold CP soap. You want to be sure your recipe contains ingredients that will yield a harder bar. We do have instructions for this and all our plastic molds for use with CP. You can find this under "Directions & Ingredients" under the "Additional Details" tab.
