Layered Lavender Bath Salts Recipe

About This Recipe:

These lavender bath salts are visually fun with layers of white and purple. Your customers will love soaking with these relaxing and balancing salts.  

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Spatula
• (2) Cookie Sheets
• (1) 1/4 Measuring Cup

Directions:
NOTE:  If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend that you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Add salt, baking soda and fragrance to one mixing bowl and mix together with wire whisk. 
  2. Divide salt mixture evenly between two bowls.
  3. To one bowl of salt, add the purple mica powder.
  4. Blend well with whisk to coat the entire salt mixture with powder color.
  5. Lay salts out onto 2 cookie sheets and let dry overnight. 
  6. To package, place an empty jar on the scale and tare to zero.
  7. Using a 1/4 measuring cup, scoop from each salt mixture into jars, layering colors as you go. You will need about 4 scoops total to equal 8 oz. of product.
  8. Place lids on jars when finished.
  9. Label product accordingly.  
To Use: Sprinkle desired amount of salts into bath. Relax and soak.
