Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
- To a large mixing bowl, add the Foaming Bath Whip. Using a hand mixer, mix until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe measuring cup, melt the shea butter using 50% power. Slowly add to bath whip while continuing to mix.
- Add sugar in small amounts, adding fragrance in-between the sugar.
- Add preservative and mix until well blended.
- Divide scrub into two bowls .
- To one bowl, add 4 tablespoons of Orange Sanding Sugars and fold into mixture with large spatula. The color will darken as the sugars "bleed" into the scrub mixture.
- Cover bowls and let sit overnight. This allows the shea butter to cool and thicken the scrub.
- Using two piping bags or large food bags, fill each with sugar scrub.
- Cut about 1/2 inch off the bottom of uncolored bag and fill jar with one-third scrub mixture. Cut tip off orange bag then add a thick band of scrub to the middle. Finish with the white, filling the jar to approximately 14 oz. by weight.
- Continue in this manner or switch colors (orange with thick white band) however you want to fill the jars.
- Once jars have been filled, sprinkle some Orange Sanding Sugar on top then apply lids.
- Label product accordingly.
To Use: Scoop out scrub and lather onto skin. For added lather, use a nylon puff or washcloth. Rinse off with warm water.
