Our Best Ever Sugar Scrub - Vanilla Recipe

This scrub recipe has been used by Debbie May for over 15 years. It has been a proven best seller for private label customers and now she has made it available to YOU! Feel free to change the fragrance and color. For those that cater to the ice cream novelty industry, it makes the perfect scoop-able "ice cream style" scrub!

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

Equipment From Home:
• (1) Stand Mixer (Mixer, 3 qt. Bowl, Beater)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (16 oz.)
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (2) beaker

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, work area and sanitized equipment.
  1. Add cut-up soap to measuring cup.
  2. Heat soap in microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted.
  3. Pour soap into stand mixer bowl.
  4. Add glycerin and mix with stand mixer on low.
  5. Stop mixer and add Foaming Bath Whip. Mix on low.
  6. Turn speed to high for 1-2 minutes. (Mixture will become creamy and look like marshmallow cream.)
  7. Turn speed to low-medium and slowly add sugar.
  8. Add lemon color and fragrance oil. When fully blended, stop mixer.
  9. Fill each jar to 7.50 oz. by weight and apply lids.
  10. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Massage gently onto wet skin. Rinse off with warm water.
