About This Recipe: Watch Video

We were inspired by shark week and made shark inspired bath bombs. These bath bombs include red embeds that are noticeable when the bath bomb is used. It appears as though there was a shark encounter! There are also luxurious ingredients such as shea butter and argan oil in the recipe.

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. To bowl, add 1.50 oz. baking soda, 1.50 oz. citric acid and red powder and mix well.
  2. Spray with rubbing alcohol until powder holds together when squeezed.
  3. Start at one end of the Itty Bitty Cube Mold and pack powder into cavities. (Only part of the mold will be filled.)
  4. Allow mixture to harden and then remove cubes from mold. Set aside.
  5. To stand mixer bowl, add 13.15 oz. baking soda, 6.10 oz. citric acid and tapioca powder and turn on mixer.
  6. To beaker, add shea butter and argan oil. Microwave in 30 second increments until butter has melted.
  7. To another beaker, add fragrance, polysorbate 80, water, rubbing alcohol and vitamin e.
  8. While mixer is on, slowly add liquids. When mixture climbs up the side of the bowl, stop mixing.
  9. Move 6 oz. mixture to another bowl and mix navy powder into mixture with gloved hands.
  10. Move another 6 oz. to another bowl and mix gray powder into mixture.
  11. Fill one side of metal mold with gray mixture. Place three red cubes on top of gray mixture and then mound white mixture on top.
  12. To other metal mold half, add blue mixture, three more red cubes, and then mound white mixture.
  13. Push mold halves together over bowl. Remove bath fizzy from mold and place on bubble wrap.
  14. Repeat the molding process until all bath bombs are molded. Allow fizzies to harden overnight.
  15. Package and label as desired.
To Use: Drop into warm bath water and soak.

*Original recipe contained Alaea Red Sea Salts which were added to the top of the bath bomb (shown in picture). These salts were discontinued so were removed from recipe.
