Directions:
WARNING: This project and these instructions have been written for someone who has experience making soap and knows the potential dangers due to working with sodium hydroxide. It will not outline all safety methods of working with dangerous chemicals, it is simply a soap recipe for advanced soap makers.
  1. Weigh water and sodium hydroxide into two separate containers. Set aside 2 oz. of distilled water in a Funnel Pitcher. Pour the Lye into the remaining 7.60 oz. of Water. Carefully mix in a well-ventilated area and set aside to cool.
  2. Add all the oils and butters to microwave-safe measuring cup and melt in the microwave or on stove top. Set aside.
  3. Add Yogurt Powder to the funnel pitcher with 2 oz. water and whisk until no clumps remain, set aside for later. Add Colloidal Oats to a beaker and blend with a small amount of melted oils.
  4. Combine black and purple in one funnel pitcher and pink into the last pitcher. Add a small amount of melted oils and blend well.
  5. When both the lye mixture and the oils are 120°F or below, mix the Fragrance and Stabilizer together. Allow to sit for at least 2 minutes before using.
  6. Pour the lye mixture into the oils. Stick blend until you reach a thin trace. Add the fragrance mixture and blend with a few short bursts until incorporated.
  7. Add the premixed yogurt powder to the batter and mix well by hand.
  8. Pour approximately 16 oz. of batter into each premixed color and add the colloidal oats to the uncolored batter.
  9. Pour the oatmeal batter into the loaf and tap the mold down on the counter to release air pockets. Perform a drop swirl with the colored soap, alternating colors until you have no remaining soap batter.
  10. Using your metal spoon perform a “Spoon Swirl” to swirl the inside of the loaf. Texture top as desired and sprinkle with Brown Sugar Crystals.
  11. Allow to set for 24 hours or longer until soap is firm enough to unmold. Unmold and slice. Let soap cure 4-6 weeks.
  12. Package and label accordingly.
To Use: Lather with water onto skin. Rinse off. Avoid contact with eyes.
