COMMENTS: The lids don't go down all the way, however you can feel that the lid screws on tightly. I used to use the same lids (came with matching jar) from a different company and they screwed down all the way, but those had no liner. I believe these are better, even with the gap in the middle, for preventing leaking due to the liner.
