We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"I see in the reviews that some people are using this FO in Lip products. Is this FO (or any FO) Lip safe? I thought that only Flavor Oils were lip safe. Thank you : )"

COMMENTS: Every year, this is a huge customer favorite - lotions, soaps, hand soaps, etc. I honestly don’t personally love this one, but since customers do I keep a big stock! I use it in cp goat milk soap and have zero issues. No acceleration, ricing, etc. I think scent retention is excellent.

"Nice enough, but not the one"

COMMENTS: Apple Jack 'n' Peel behaved nicely enough in my cold process soap. I soap at room temp with a water discount. I just don't totally love the smell of this one. It's not enough apple for my personal taste.... I just smell the spices, so one star off on my review. Didn't accelerate, didn't rice, didn't separate, so those bits are wonderful!

COMMENTS: This smells divine! Does not discolor. However it accelerates a LOT. I do my loaves in two layers/batches because I use a soap scraper in the design. By the time I mixed my second lye solution and started scraping the bottom layer it was already going to gel phase! Not a fragrance for delicate swirls.

COMMENTS: I was very disappointed with this fragrance. The first smell out of the bottle was so strong that it gave me an instant bad migraine and also made me nauseated. I tried to use it in some melt and pour but I just couldn't take the smell. I ended up throwing the bottle away. I waisted hard earned money.

"Lovely but light on the apple, accelerated"

COMMENTS: This is a beautiful fall fragrance but the cinnamon completely overpowers the apple and orange notes. Also, the fragrance notes say that it doesn't accelerate or rice, but it did for me. My oils and lye were room temp and it went to porridge in seconds. It was so bad I had to throw it out and start over :( The second batch was also room temp, but I hand mixed the soap to emulsification before adding the FO and hand stirred. I was able to make a beautiful 3 color drop swirl on that batch. So far after 3 weeks, it's still very strong smelling and it a beautiful fragrance. Just be aware it can be tricky to work with.

"Yum in a bottle"

COMMENTS: Lovely fall/holiday fragrance with a good balance of apple and spice. It sticks very well. I didn't notice any ricing or acceleration. I don't think it discolored (at least it didn't seem to impact my colored bars).

"Great Fall Fragrance!"

COMMENTS: I tested this fragrance in my paraffin/soy wax melts, hoping for a apple pie spice type scent. Although it was not an apple pie spice kind of scent it smelled amazing! Very clove-y and apple-y, not as much cinnamon as I was expecting, but still a great addition to my fall line. My customers really liked it! It has a great cold throw and an even better hot throw. I would definitely recommend this F/O to anyone who likes clove or apple fragrances :)

"Amazing throw in soy wax"

COMMENTS: I've tried this FO in several bath and body products but they didn't sell very well. I decided to use it in soy wax melts and they are AMAZING. The cold and hot throw is strong, and this scent smells like there is an apple pie baking in the oven. It's a true holiday scent and I love it.

"Wonderful Fall & Holiday Scent"

COMMENTS: This FO smells absolutely delicious! I definitely get the notes of cinnamon, apple, and clove. The orange scent is a bit more in the background to me. The FO reminds me of when the summer heat finally starts to melt away & you begin to get some crispness in the air. All the reviews I read said there was no problem with acceleration. But, I definitely had moderate acceleration. Although, because I didn't see any reviews with acceleration, I used one of my faster moving recipes. I imagine if I had used a slower moving recipe, I might not have experienced acceleration. But even with some acceleration, it is so worth it because the scent is awesome. I was able to manage 4 colors with this FO. But did have to work quickly. I will be buying a much larger size & plan to use this in a variety of other products.

COMMENTS: I used this in my cold process soap recipe, and gave it the soap as gifts at Christmas. It was a definite hit, as well as the lip balm I used it in. COMMENTS: Almost flies off shelf. Men love it, women really like it - some like it better than the floral/fruits we offer. Nice and spicy. Cinnamon and Cloves stand out to me. A little goes a long way but does not over power or 'stink'. Worked well in all products with not problem. COMMENTS: I love this scent and it behaved perfect last year. Just started some seasonal soap with this scent and it rapidly accelerated trace almost to seizing.never happened before. Also turned the white part of my batter a light yellow. Totally ruined my design work because I didn't see this one coming. Just dumped the colors into the mold. Not my favorite technique. Still love the scent though. It held fairly well last year. Perhaps the formulation was changed.

"Wonderful Apple Scent"

COMMENTS: I loved how this fragrance oil performed in cold process soap. All other apple type fragrance oils tend to make my goats milk soap curdle and seize. I hand-stirred once I incorporated the fragrance into the lye/oil mixture so that I would not accelerate trace. I have nice smooth bars of soap :)

COMMENTS: This fragrance is great anytime but it really makes me think of fall and winter. I notice the spices before I notice the apple fragrance. I was thinking of replacing my present apple fragrance with this but I think this will be a new addition instead.

COMMENTS: I loved soaping with this scent! I used it in a Christmas/Holiday-oriented batch of CP soap at 1oz PPO. The scent was fantastic, the soap batter behaved perfectly - no acceleration, no discoloration. The bars smell divine, and I hope it sticks!

COMMENTS: This is a semi-strong scent and smells so good! I even use it in my oil warmers to scent my house with! The throw is perfect. You can combine Apple Jack N' Peel with Cinnamon Candies for a delicious scent that makes my family oh so happy!

"Traditional Holiday Favorite"

COMMENTS: We have been using Crafter's Choice Apple Jack N' Peel for years and it has become a holiday tradition for us. The top note is crisp apple, followed by light, sweet spices. It does not discolor CP soap. It does not accelerate trace. We used it at 5% and it has a light throw, but smells really great when wet. We made hair and body bars with it. It stays nicely in the hair after drying without being overpowering. This is nice made with a red or gold mica swirl inside or a sparkle mica dusting on it. Apple Jack N' Peel will continue to be a tradition at our booths for holiday time.

COMMENTS: This is a lovely fragrance that soaps well and is perfect for fall. It soaps nicely in CP, CPOP and HP. It is a strong, nonfading scent and customers love it. Many tell me they like to use it to fragrance the room (and car!)

COMMENTS: This fragrance has always been a good seller for me. I color it red with white chunks. It slowly turns a country red within a month. I also use it in container candles and it has a great throw.
