Argan Butter is a smooth blend of Argan Oil and vegetable oil. It Thought to contain high amounts of essential fatty acids, such as natural waxes, making it great in lip products and skin care.

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir melted product into the oil portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lip products 5-100%, cold process soap 3-6%, lotions and creams 3-5%. Can be applied directly to the skin.

TIPS: The average melting point for the butter is 91°F. Butters provide moisturizing properties to products. To minimize greasy after feel we recommend blending with 1-3% cornstarch or isopropyl myristate. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

"i don't like mystery ingredients and I have discerning customers who will be suspect of a term like "vegetable oil" and ask. In a previous Q&A you stated it was a proprietary blend that the maker would not disclose. What other butter might I be able to substitute in this recipe that would be a similar product (e.g. Shea, mango, more Tucuma, etc)?. Or is there a harder butter/oil that I could blend with Argan oil to create the same effect, such as more Babassu oil? Any suggestions? Thank you!"

Staff Answer Butter blends are usually softer because they are blended with sweet almond or hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Sort of like a whipped shortening. It will melt on skin contact, but is much thicker than an oil and is more of a solid at lower temps.

It was a harder butter to get out of the container it came in but whipped very nicely. Very nice on your skin.

This is a soft wonderful butter that blends into the skin very nice it soaks in rather quickly and the smell is devine. It has a strong lemon smell. no fake or cleaning smell Thank you Tracy

"Beard Balm"

COMMENTS: I used this for a test in my husband's beard balm. Usually it comes out a bit more hard, which is cool, but using this butter, the balm is more soft after it sets and pliable. He loves it. I now sell it in my business.

COMMENTS: I ordered a two-ounce sample of this and I'm so happy I did. I use it as a base for lip balm and face mask products I make for myself. It's moisturizing yet doesn't feel too heavy. I can use it straight under my eyes and on my lips before I go to bed and wake up with soft, moisturized skin. Argan oil is quite expensive on its own and I'm glad there's a blend option.
