Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

"I bought this base, mainly to do embeds and colored swirls in my loafs (M&P). This base is amazing! It colors well, I made a few bars with it and tested it. It lathers well, feels good on the skin. Since I use M&P for everything, I tried making embeds, loafs, single bars and they all turned out fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was, that the blue plastic wrap it comes in was (in some parts) embedded in the soap itself. Kinda made it hard to cut out what I needed, but honestly I can deal with it. The price and quality are totally worth it!"

Oh my goodness, best soap ever!

"I almost cried, honestly, when I made soap with this base. I got the 10lb bag and I was surprised at how it was packaged. It was a giant blue bag of soap brick. It took me a while to break it down and get it put away, however I know that this is probably the best option for the soap to store and ship, so no complaints. The soap is so smooth to cut through, like soft butter! And the bubbles when I was just cleaning my gloves, OH MY GOSH! So suds-y and smooth and there wasn't a bad smell. So happy how few ingredients are in this base, that made me even more happy! Can't wait to run out so I have to buy more!"

Hi. Is this base low sweat?: Our Basic MP bases are not considered to be low sweat. Our Detergent Free MP bases are low sweat.
So this is considered an all natural melt and pour base?: This base is not considered to be all natural.
I opened my 10lb box and it looks like it was separated somehow. There is a layer of white soap on top of the clear soap. Is that normal? Should I just melt it back together?: Bubbles can form in a thin layer on top of our soap bases. Melting it down will get rid of the bubbles. After pouring into your mold, make sure to spritz with alcohol to prevent more bubbles from forming.
Hi, does this base contain parabens?: This base does not contain parabens.
Could I add jojoba oil and sunflower oil to this base? are can I only add one oil as to not mess up the base and cause it to foam less? And if so what would you guys suggest for usage rate in adding oils to this base?Thank you!: You can add those oils to this base up to 6%. If you do not want to affect the lather, try adding at 1% and you can increase from there.
