We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

	"smells good, but not accurate."
COMMENTS: honestly, this doesn't smell anything like basil to me. its a very fresh/soapy kind of scent, very nice actually...but not basil. was disappointed :(

"Not at all what I was looking for"

COMMENTS: I read the reviews before buying this fragrance oil, but it doesn't smell anything like Basil. It doesn't have an unpleasant smell, it smells sort of like laundry detergent. So the batch that I just made with this fragrance oil isn't a lost cause, I'm just disappointed that it's not Basil scented as I had intended.

COMMENTS: I used Basil Fragrance Oil in my succulent soap because I didn't have any other scent that I thought would work. I was very surprised when it turned out to be my favorite! It was perfect for the succulent soap. It did speed up trace a little but that worked in my favor for the piping between my embeds. I love it so much that I just ordered a larger bottle.

"true to life"

COMMENTS: A lot of people review fragrance oils based on how well they perform in different applications (CP soap vs bath fizzes vs lotions, etc), so I will review the scent itself. :) This scent is a very true-to-life basil scent for me. In the bottle, it is very herbaceous, with a note reminiscent of licorice or clove. When dry, it is definitely very basil-y, very fresh, and very green. I do think it's a little too light on its own, and I mixed this with other oils for a custom blend, though others might appreciate how simple it is.

"Didn’t even use"

COMMENTS: I was hoping for a less expensive replacement for Basil EO, but I did not even use this in soap as it smelled so unlike basil or any other plant in the bottle. I don’t know how to describe it other than “green and chemical” and “smells like laundry” - I used it in my personal laundry soap. It is not a bad fragrance, just not at all what I wanted.

COMMENTS: I bought a small size to try and I really like it- I went into B&B and compared the scent to WSP and into Yankee candles and I think this one is the best and performs very well in soap and my soy tarts.

"Wonderful Fresh Scent"

COMMENTS: I used this in a recent batch of CP soap. The fragrance is true to what it should be, and I did not need much. Excellent quality, especially considering this is a fairly inexpensive fragrance. Behaved wonderfully in my soap, no acceleration, and no ricing.

COMMENTS: Not only do I dislike the scent, as soon as it hit the soap batter it looked like cottage cheese. Then got so thick I had to just plop it in the mold. It also over heated, I will be looking for a better Basil FO than this one.
