"I just used this to make my bath bombs and put some of your vanilla stabilizer in it. There seemed to be some type of reaction. The smell became very strong and actually burnt my throat, despite my mask. I do use alcohol in my mixture, but a very small amount and polysorbate 80. Could it be I am using too much oil, or do you think it is a reaction with the stabilizer. Thanks"

"I see that there are fragrance oils that are labeled "clear oil fragrance oils" and I assume that you'd use these in a clear base that you wanted to keep clear. However, some of these FO's contain vanilla and with the addition of the vanilla stabilizer, will the FO remain clear? Thanks!"

"Scent disappeared in CP"

COMMENTS: I totally loved this fragrance out of the bottle! I used in CP soap for a confetti cake and use CC “vanilla color stabilizer” to avoid discoloration. I unmolded my soap 30 hours later and the scent was gone! Completely! Actually it left behind a weird unpleasant smell that reminded me of beans soaked in water!! I used the FO at 3% as I normally do. I will have to rebatch this soap...I wouldn’t even give it away for free!

"No cake smell for me"

COMMENTS: I did not get a cake smell OOB or after cure in my soy wax. I also used in CP soap and worked it into my design knowing it would discolor, which of course it did and I was ok with it (going for the chocolate cake look). However, it did not smell like birthday cake in any way shape or form. It kind of smells like play-doh to me. I was so disappointed especially with some of the great reviews the FO received. Glad I only ordered a 4 oz bottle. This is the only scent I have been disappointed with from the CC brand. Will keep looking for a scent that gives me all the birthday cake feels. However, not to take away from how this scent performs overall: I had no issues with soaping and no issues in my soy wax. Discolors as advertised due to 10% vanillin. Maybe it could be combined with another scent to get you more of a cake or bakery scent.

COMMENTS: This smells nothing like cake at all. It smells really sweet and like candy, but not cake. Had to mix it with vanilla bean fragrance oil to get l the smell I wanted, and it still didn’t seem right. "Behaved in CP but scent disappeared"

COMMENTS: Enjoyed working with this scent. At first it discolor to white, I was soaking a cupcake so I was happy about that. tThe next day I went to take it out of the cupcake mold and it was a yellowish brown color, cupcake still looks good, No longer white, and scent has totally disappeared .

COMMENTS: I love this scent and it really does smell just like birthday cake! Downside is the discoloration which you can easily work with so long as you don't mind the brown cupcake look. It would be much better if it didn't discolor as birthday cake is supposed to be white. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't discolor and let's be honest here, vanilla color stabilizer really doesn't work all that well or for very long.

I use these in my bath bombs and people love them, but it takes a lot of scent to really smell the fragrance, and it seems to disappear over time. I feel like the bombs I made with this scent aren't as strongly scented as my other ones even though I've used the same amount. Out of the bottle it smells really strange, but once I incorporated it into my recipe it smells just like vanilla cake.

"Dont judge this one out of the bottle"

COMMENTS: When we did a cold sniff out of the bottle it was horrible. I went ahead and did a sample candle and once this scent hit wax it transformed. It is very much true to a birthday cake with frosting and all with an amazing scent throw. Not your run of the mill "vanilla based" fragrance. Did not have any color shifting as some vanillas will produce.

COMMENTS: More like the icing versus the cake part... which I like, since I have other cake-type notes (all good). This has a "sweet" smell with a touch of a cake base. COMMENTS: This scent is just what I hoped for and better than I expected. It's very strong with vanilla and frosting but the frosting smells like a white frosting instead of buttercream frosting. That's what keeps it from smelling like every other cake fragrance. YUM!

COMMENTS: At first I didn't like this. I thought it smelled like caramel. Then it grew on me, and now it's one of my favorite scents. It smells just like cake with frosting (no caramel). It smells GREAT as a body butter/body cream, and even mixed with vanilla or french vanilla....mmmm love those bakery scents! It is light and not overwhelming.
