Details

Pour or place your prepared mixture into the silicone mold cavities and allow it to cool, harden, or set fully according to your project type. Once firm, gently pull the sides of the mold away from the product, then press on the bottom of the cavity until it begins to release, and carefully remove. Care: Hand wash molds in warm, sudsy water and allow to dry completely before reuse.

Should've Heeded Previous Review

"Review #1 of 2:Day a Reaction: The lipped edges on this mold ruin the soap when unmolding. Disclaimer: Recipe is 72% Hard Oils, 28% Soft Oils. I tried unmolding just now - after the soap (CPOP) sat in the oven undisturbed for 32 hours - and the bar I unmolded was ruined. I can always unmold this same recipe in as little as 8-12 hours with the Euro Rectangle (15 Bar) Mold. I will post another review when I'm finally able to successfully unmold, hopefully. I love Crafters Choice molds and I must say I'm highly disappointed in this one thus far. I'd understand if this was a soft recipe but it's not. If it takes longer than 2 days, I'll have to find different molds and now I know to avoid those with 'lipped edges'. And of course I eagerly bought 5 of them just knowing they'd be great! Sigh."

"WOW! Just upgraded my soaps in a big way! So very easy to use (be sure to set them on a cookie sheet or something so you can move them after the pour - if you need them out of the way). Every single bar came out so easily, perfect and the size is perfect too. Some customers said they were too big but liked the idea of cutting them in half and bought them w/ the idea they were getting almost two full bars for the price of one. Have come up with great new designs that i couldn't do as easily with other molds. Love these and am ordering more now. Yes, 7 oz bars ups the price and uses more of our soap faster but they look so very nice, are so easy to use and sell so well - just no down side to this mold. Beautifully shaped bars, no cutting, plane - ing/scraping, no potato peeler needed for the edges, just perfection. Thanks WSP!"

Love the shape

"I used this on CP and even though the soap easily unmolded, the lipped edges dragged against the soap. I had to clean up the sides which then changed the shape, eliminating the rounded edges. For this to work on CP, the soap has to really dry out because when you unmold the soap, gravity combined with the lipped edges will press against the soap. The shape is nice and the soap fit perfectly in my hand but I think this is better for M&P."

Q&A

Will this mold work well for salt soap or will the soap crumble when it is removed from the mold? I usually make it in 5lb loaf molds and cut after a couple of hours. It would be nice to have the soap with a rounded edge and shine to them.: You will need to test this with your specific recipe, but this mold does work for cold process and melt and pour soaps.

How many ounces of soap for each mold cavity?: According to the website this makes a bar that weighs 7 ounces.
Would the 4×6 shrink wrap bags completely enclose this size bar?: Yes, this shrink bag would fit this bar entirely.
